My guess is the players will still gather together on the pitch and one of the coaches will bring water out to them, along with instructions from the manager.

It's a start, that and the other changes are steps in the right direction

    It has to start somewhere

Saw in an international this week that a sub was refused entry for 1 minute as the player leaving the field took too long.

There’s also the throw in piss take where it goes through three pairs of Arsenal hands before somebody takes the throw.

Need to enforce it rigorously though
Too often it starts and then when managers complain it’s just ignored again.

All a step in the right in the right direction but we need to be careful what we wish for. We are painfully slow on throw-ins and as for Sam Walker........

The subs one should work well as players are forced to go off within 10 seconds once the board has been shown and the 1 minute is only a minimum as the player can't come back on until the ball goes out of play.
It will end the weird run that you only see when a player is being subbed off which is slower than a walk. I don't think managers will want players to be taking risks so I'd expect to see managers telling their players to hurry up.

I think the keeper rule has worked quite well this season.
It’s certainly stopped the ridiculous Pickord-esque antics of throwing yourself to the floor and taking 30/40 seconds to get up and then get rid.

I still think it could be enforced a bit more but it’s definitely an improvement.

I know some people have complained saying it's rarely been penalised but I was expected it to be rarely penalised as really nobody should got over the 8 seconds when you've got a visible and verbal countdown from the referee. It would be like complaining people aren't being caught for speeding when you warn them 100m in advance that there is a speed camera, if you are speeding then you are stupid for ignoring the warning signs. Whilst it might not be perfect and there is still an element of subjectivity about when the 8 seconds starts it is far better than previous and I'm certain if there are stats to show the time the ball was in the goalkeeper's hands this season it would be down on last season.
