Figure that is heavily going around social media is that it's £200k for Power, no idea where it's based but it's far more than one or two accounts saying it. Given how publicly (and quickly) this deal is moving, it wouldn't be shocking to see someone on one end leaking every bit of info.

 

No idea mate! I was really surprised we released him to be honest, he was one of our better performers last season. He went from being a player that I wouldn't have been too bothered about leaving the season before to being gutted about going this summer. Rumour is he wanted far more than we were prepared to offer him. Wouldn't surprise me if he rocks up at your place, If that happens though you do realise you'll have to change your name to Bradport

Beezley is a good signing for the club. A proper number nine which we have missed since Cooky left.
As for the others Morsy if he signs is more than good enough for this level, a definite upgrade on Power. Connolly and Wright I don't know much about

 

These would all be decent signings imo

 

Seem to remember Wright was really decent on the ball for Wigan against us this past season but before that he was in the champ. Same with Morsy, it's bringing in players who recently have been above i suppose?

Although Wright is another from Merseyside, we need to get on the blower and try get some overpass to cut the journey time, because half our lads from that side of the world want out after a year of the M62.

 

Or maybe it’s because he’s a proven winner and didn’t like the lack of ambition we showed in January when chasing the autos.
That January recruitment was god awful and it cost us promotion. Can’t blame Max for feeling let down.

Although he won’t say it publicly he might not like the GA style of football and openly prefers the Gary Caldwell brand which he’s had success with previously.
Let’s be honest here, GA’s style doesn’t exactly get bums off seats. It’s pretty fecking dull.

Will be interesting to see who is our first choice midfield combo come August as I also agree that Metcalfe/Power were too similar. If one has to go then I'd rather it wasn't Metcalfe.

 

Yeah you can see the strategy of looking at players that have been there and done it. Last season was riding the crest of a wave but lets be honest the squad with the sun of its parts over achieved. Players like Morsy, if affordable, offer that jump up in quality with the caveat of coming to the end of their career. Both Connolly and Wright have had a good number of games at championship level. I can see the wage bill rising but ultimately it's the price you pay if you want to move forward.

 

In all seriousness,if travel was the issue then Power should have moved closer to Bradford.In the old days we had players and managers living just down the road from Valley Parade, we live in a multicultural City that the club encourages, so the decent thing is for the players to move closer to it and enjoy our new society.

That’s £200,000 in the kitty towards a replacement if accurate . As long as there is an equivalent replacement signed it’s very good business on the basis he cost nothing in transfer fees . Surely this contributes very favourably to SCR?
