He’s now first team coach at Brentford, not bad for someone written off as useless by some of our fans.

Yeah, I can't believe we let him go. He'd definitely have taken us up as champions..

However anyone feels about Huddersfield Town the news coming out at Huddersfield Town is tragic and sad .
How much it will affect the team we will have to wait and See

Liam Manning has been granted compassionate leave for the remainder of the season by Huddersfield Town.

A statement shared by the League One outfit on Wednesday morning notes that Manning, 44, informed the club of "ongoing personal matters" relating to the tragic death of his baby son, Theo, in October 2024.

Manning previously took a brief leave of absence from his position as head coach of Bristol City following Theo's passing.

Martin Drury and Jon Stead will oversee the first-team for the rest of the season.

Drury and Stead appointed permanently now at our canine friends. I genuinely thought they would go down the more experienced route now, such as tempting Dave Challenor

Shame he didn't appoint Abbott and Collins alongside him. I'd have loved that!

Two Rookies in 12 months , unproven Grant was the messiah , now Drury with two wins in 7 ..crikey . I suspected Challoner tbh.

He was already there as a coach I think before he got the gig after Manning left. After he left City he’s been at a number of high profile clubs. Whether he can cut it as a #1 remains to be seen. Hudds fans are not happy though if the social media response is anything to go by.
To be fair he was very close to 5 wins in 7 barring some injury time equalisers. Fine margins… be interesting to see how they get on next season, but it’s a massive risk for them appointing an unproven manager with the high expectations of their fans.

I know his history , but useful for others . High profile like Valencia …he was there a few weeks , other roles were assistant to assistant and pro club boys football. It’s a risk again as you say. One day their risks and lack of due dilligence might pay off ?
