    "...not get into a bidding war with clubs with higher financial muscle than us." ... and no harm in bidding up the price to use up the resources of the other clubs. Just don't get caught as the last bidder :)

    Sounds like a summer of change is coming at Stockport. Their journo saying a fair few knew it would be their last game for them in an emotional dressing room after the game.

    How much do we reckon Kyle Wootton would cost? If the internet is correct, he’s 30 in October and has 1 year left on his contract.

    I guess the Colne Valley Canine (pooch) Club may have some dosh. I would guess that Leicester and Luton are in a financial mess. Sheffield Wednesday are unknown but have been in a tail spin.
    So, honest question, who are the ‘big spenders’ what evidence is there, in the public domain.
    If Salary Cost Management Protocol is actively adhered to then how are these smaller clubs with a lower support/turnover, going to be in a stronger position?
    I supose Stockport could well be bankrolled, but struggle to see above else, who will have substantial extra funds.

    I'm sure that whoever we sign we won't know who they are. Every transfer window plays out like this with the odd exception
