For the neutral justice done the best three teams promoted
.Bolton can thank the loan market. We should take a note of that

    Money talks
Not sure we could afford the quality of loans Bolton brought in
They were the stand out players in the games against us

Not quite. Notts or Salford yet to be added to the list.

I wonder how we’d have got on against Stockport,we certainly wouldn’t have got that penalty as we don’t have a player with hair like that.

I think we would have beaten Stockport. At the start of the playoffs I reckoned the winners of the Bolton v City tie would be promoted, as so it turned out to be

    Kayden could borrow the wig?
We could get Kayden to borrow the wig. No point Bobby having it, he'd just trip himself up

Yep, same, Stockport in the final was always the one - even more so than Stevenage at Wembley.

Not to disrespect them too heavily, they're obviously a decent team, I just think we'd have turned them over.

He fouled him no question. Accidentally for sure but still a foul.

Stockport’s support was awful. Two upper tiers both closed . Yet they can spend millions on players. Sigh.

Spot on. They must do the same again or come straight back down, but mega expensive ones this time?

Stockport have never had massive support due to location, but do have a wealthy owner who pays good wages.

Yes I know …. Further emphasises the sloping level playing field is my point. It looked just so poor tbh.

Should clubs with a lower number of fans have not as wealthy owners? I don’t understand your point… a couple of posts on here about attendances yesterday, it’s bizarre.
Bournemouth made the Europa league yesterday. Their stadium holds about 12,000. If we’re talking about sloping playing fields then you’d have them removed from playing European football and installl a club with larger attendances?

It's more complex and nuanced than that based on what I've seen. Stockport's gates are about half of ours. And yet, their overall income is very similar to ours. That is very surprising and doesn't make sense at face value. For clarity before anybody focuses simply on them having wealthy owners, it excludes the losses they've made over recent years which have indeed been funded by the club's owners. They appear to be doing things better and different to us on the business side of their club

Without looking into it, I don’t understand Boltons demographics. Massive debt, yet still one of the biggest budgets. They’ve always been in huge debt ever since I used to work there briefly which must be nigh on 20 + years, when they were in the Prem/Champ, and know they went into Admin in May 2019. Yet here we are again, still in debt and will no doubt find the money to put together a big budget.

There’s something very suspicious about football finance these days. Apparently very successful and astute business men (not just 1 but many) happy to throw their hard earned money into black holes, it just doesn’t add up
