Alexander in his interview mentions.. Our security asked City to leave the pitch so Bolton could celebrate ???? What!? Its our frickin ground ffs and the players deservered to know how much us fans appreciated their efforts... honestly this club doesn't half let itself down with some silly decisions

It will have been a misunderstanding by some of the stewards. Because of a high risk of a pitch invasion from either or both sides there will have been a stewards assigned to each teams and the officials to get them off safely in the event of a pitch invasion.
A lot of lessons will have been learnt from the Fleetwood game and with more protocols put in place for this. It's just a mistake from one or 2 stewards, nothing really to get upset about.

That was one thing that I was seriously concerned about last night if we had won the game to reach Wembley.
The amount of feckers that want to go on to the pitch and instead of celebrating, they head to the other fans to goad them.
There could have been some reet trouble with the Bolton fans.

It seems a lot of our inbreds crawled out of the woodwork yesterday.. fighting amongst themselves, refusing to stop vaping when asked, drinking in the stands… we do have some right idiots as so called supporters.. they just ruin it for everyone else…

The people standing in pub doorways, having a chat and blocking the entrances on North Parade, while drinking their own cans from Tesco, were a signal that all the idiots would be out in force

You are probably right. However, I don’t think GA was in the mood to be moved on when the kop were in full voice singing their praises of the manager and players.

Idiots out in full force around me on the kop. Hardly any of the 'regulars' in their usual seats around me.

Very drunk fans blocking aisles and giving fellow fans and stewards awful abuse if you tried to ask them to move.

I sit in an end seat near the aisles and witnessed shocking abuse and language aimed at women just trying to get to and from the toilets. My daughter had to hold me back from intervening on a couple of occasions, worried for my safety.

These big matches certainly bring out the chavviest supporters you are likely to come across all season and I am not talking about youngsters either. Middle aged men who should know better.

Yep, was a pain behind me. I sit on the end of the row with my wife in block C of the kop. Recognised nobody say around us and the row behind had 4 or 5 people who just took those seats and then I'm guessing they just lied when the people who actually had those seats came and just kept saying either "it's all sold out, its unallocated just sit anywhere" or "well, people are in our seats so move them first". People who were supposed to sit in those seats just stood by them until stewards came but I can barely remember the first 15 or so of the game because it was just nudging or arguing behind my head for the entire time until the stewards moved them.

Even when the stewards came and asked to see their tickets, they refused to show them to the stewards who kept asking them to leave those seats for the people who paid for them. They kicked off for a good 10 or so, one of the group kept saying "I'm a police officer and you have no right to ask to see my phone", again safely guessing their tickets were either spread or miles away from where they ended up. The steward was taking some way way over the top abuse.

But the others around us, a few sneaked cans and vapes in and were just drinking and smoking all game. Looking forward to the familiar faces again in August.

And once again I reiterate that it was all completely unnecessary and of the clubs own making.

Hopefully there's now lessons learnt if enough people make them aware.

If ppl refuse to show the stewards their ticket, then eject them from the stadium. Those that smoke and drink likewise. Not sure whether we have Police at the stadium, but we certainly need them on high volume days.

Nobody should have to put up with that. Abusing the stewards and fellow fans is completely unacceptable.

Saying it like anyone gives a shit what a police officer says anymore. We too sit in C Block and moat of the people who sit around us were they just not in their usual seats. Shame cos they're a good bunch, I didn't recognise the old boy sat at the side of me he must have been the only person in the lower kop to sit down the entire game. God only knows what he was watching lol.
I'll admit it was great seeing the whole lower kop stood up even though I know it's really naughty and everyone should have been thrown out and banned for life (disclaimer cos I know what this place is like, it's sarcasm).

Lower Kop was a nightmare with everyone stood up. My blanket kept falling off my knee and I kept kicking my flask over.

Can't wait to get back to the civility of the Midland Road.

Just to say as a Midland Roader I ended up in the lower Kop D block stood up all match (my 75year old legs just about held out). I was surrounded by some great supporters, loved the experience, even having to wave one of those massive flags when no one would take it off me! I'll be very happy though to be back in my usual seat in MR in August.

not meaning this question in an arsey way, as I completely agree with you. The drinking and smoking I understand as a criminal offence, but is there a law around not complying with stewards or being in the right seat?

Not so much a 'law' as ground rules and regulations which are your terms and conditions upon buying a ticket and entering the stadium I guess...

It’s the same knobs who go to away games when allocation is large. Ie. Bolton, Barnsley, Wigan.
I’d prefer it if we stick to the 2000 regulars with enough loyalty points. Feck the rest.

Really hope the club learn from this… having fans behind both goals doesnt mean success… stick to what we’ve done all season… F+G and Souty for away.. leave it at that!
