We deserved feck all from these last two legs

 

Can't argue that Bolton deserve it over 2 legs. Biggest gripe, I don't think we gave our best account, players and management. But I always felt Bolton would have a bit too much and so it proved.

 

Can’t see Stockport doing the business in the final

 

Over the 2 games Bolton have been the better side. I can understand the plan to get to 60 minutes and go for it.

We had our chances but a combination of finishing/good defending and good goalkeeping hurt us.

This season has been a huge building block and a good platform to build on.

 

Hardly far better. They just took two of the chances they had over the two games. Stockport should wipe the floor with them based on what I’ve seen

 

sh!te for 3 out of 4 of the playoff halfs. Probably for the best we try and build in the summer and sign a more physical striker and a bit more pace in centre midfield.

Congratulations to Bolton , kept in the tie by a keeper that made two great saves .

City fans , honestly should be really concerned . They added nothing imho. Even the commentary said so a few times

That’s was caused by the ridiculous ticketing fiasco .

Wright was exceptional as was Laps when they came on .

Baldwin , sorry that was a dire mistake .


Now for the positive

What a fabulous season , nobody, but nobody expected .

Up to Christmas we were an unknown quantity.

After Christmas we weren't.

Second half loads better, way too much hoofball first half. Just fell short in the end. I think we would've benefited from Lapslie's energy from the start.

Their keeper made 2 brilliant saves, that shotfrom Power goes in and it's a totally different game.

Still proud of what we have achieved this year. Now for a football detox (until world cup).

Heads up. I'll be honest, I don't think we're the 4th best team in the league, but that's where we finished, and that's a huge credit to everyone at the club. No shame - the darker days of L2 are still too recent for anyone to dig anybody at the club out. We had a go and fell just short.

Go again in the summer - I just hope we get it right and build, instead of repeating January or looking to make up the numbers.

Fair play in reaching the play-offs, heaven knows how you did it, but looking forward to locking horns again next season.

I thought it was the best we could hope for. They're a better side than us. It kept the tie alive. It was always a tall order. We're it not for a wonder save and a disallowed goal then we'd have had a real chance.

Having a dig at me at the moment just after we as City fans have just been through that defeat speaks volumes about you.
