It was extremely fortunate the way the ball got to Cozier Dubarry but once it had he had to be closed down - you can't allow him that much time and space to just pick his spot. Touray was the only man close enough to do it. Otherwise I agree Touray had a decent game

 

Bolton fans were saying Cissoko at our place had his best game of the season and frightened the life out of Baldwin, so he was doubled up all game and that side being so full left the switch and yhe other winger so free. Touray needed to be sharper but it didnt sound like there was any communication to move out from anyone, very pedestrian moment in an otherwise good defensive display, but the better players take the one moment they need.

Cozier Duberry will either make Brighton a fair few quid this summer or he'll be in the Champ on loan next season.

 

We've only won 5 games all season by 2 goals - Cardiff and the dogs in Sept, Reading in December, Peterborough in February and Vale in March. We've not won a game by more than 2 since Colchester in March 2025 so if Bolton score on Thursday, the best we can probably hope for is that we take it to pens.

People are really overthinking things here, I am happy to come away with just a one goal deficit. This is now down to 90 mins of football at home with a full house. Regardless of the outcome I am happy that we have performed well this season and progressed.
For me, people should be proud of what we have achieved this season.

Exactly my worry spelt out. This team has to do something so against it's nature on Thursday and we aren't facing the Vales of the league.

As said earlier, blind faith will kick in but logically there is sod all to suggest we have the capability to turn this around.

 

Isn’t that down to the way GA sets them up? I can’t remember which match it was but recently; he went mad with the players for going after another goal to seal it, and they caught us and score, we end up with 1 point instead of 3. I don’t think we have the quality in there at the moment to do both. He doesn’t want them overrun. After they scored last night there was signs we were going to let them in again but managed to pull it together, and some serious good luck.

 

We have a huge problem scoring goals.. and need 30+ chances to put 2 away as we found out vs Peterborough.. thing is we have a “prolific” goal scorer in Mullin, if he doesn't fit into our system of playing a lone striker up front, Why sign him ??? Guy canr even get onto the subs bench… panic signing

 

Aside from Power who's been an ever present all season apart from his suspension, only 4 other players played in all 5 of those games where we won by 2 goals - Touray, Tyreik, Sarc and Bobby. Let's hope for a miracle that they're all fit and available to play some part on Thursday.

 

Folk aluding to us not being able to score 2 goals its the playoffs anything can happen ............look at Yesterday and look at the goal Stevenage gave away and on the whole they have been a pain to breakdown ................the pressure is all on Bolton now in terms of having a goal lead and the pressure on them to get out of this league time for the team and us to really rank it up now.

 

Agreed. Those criticising our defence for the goal are forgetting that this player is way above L1 level. He was doing similar things before his injury, almost every game.

 

Logic and past history doesn’t come into the play offs though as you are alluding to somewhat ?

Stevenage have beaten County home and away this season from memory but yesterday’s comedy goal turns logic upside down .

 

Imagine seeing this and thinking how we didnt get an attempt away? Keeper is leaving so much of that near post free, I cant believe he tried waiting for the contact rather than having a go
