Bolton Tickets

Your opinion is just as valid as mine but what other ways do you agree on eligibility ? Years going home and away , distance travelled, money spent , one could go on and on and on. Who accounts for me and a few others going since the late 50’s . Nobody! Do I begrudge modern day fans getting tickets …do I hell. It works in 2026 so why the need to fix it ?

 

I can see the reasoning in holding back some tickets for league games, so that is doesn't become a closed shop as some have intimated earlier in the thread. But I do think a play off semi final should be treated differently, with another band or 2 for supporters who have accumulated substantial loyalty points but have found themselves just missing out on the second band.

 

Why not , you are self administering who can and can’t go yourself by ruling “ open sale” out . People have different or conflicting priorities in life, work, families, transport, physical ability , caring for others and so on . It’s not in your remit who can and can’t go . End of .

 

Anyone know if the South West pub are organising a trip for Bolton away?

 

Yeah I don't agree with holding back the tickets. In this day and age queueing outside the ticket office should be a thing of the past.

I'm trying but it's proving very difficult unless you know a Bolton fan with ticket history.

Just to add to this, I believed that the Management, those organising tickets etc, were experts, however, to mess up the ticket arrangements for Season Ticket holders to such a degree is alarming. I was at a Funeral yesterday and therefore could not apply for a ticket until last night. I have got a ticket, a considerable distance from my usual seat - according to the site - the whole block appears to have been sold, which I find hard to believe. I have used my seat since the ground re-opened following the fire. I was a Season Ticket holder in that stand on the day of the fire, and have been a Season Ticket holder for more that 55 years having been a supporter for over 60 years. But that doesn't mean a thing to the Bradford City hierarchy. Two days as a ST holder to secure a seat, with our wonderful ticketing technology, Well at my age I suppose I should be grateful that I actually got a ticket and can go!

 

The only problem I think with the system as it stands is that the points shouldn't keep rolling over indefinitely as it's going to make it hard for new season ticket holders or young fans to get to away games. For me the points should be on a rolling 3 year basis then those who go regularly get priority but they need to keep going to stay at the top.

If we use this season as an example, the maximum points someone could get is 1,380 so they could do all of that for the next 3 seasons and they will wouldn't have enough for the top points bracket today. Blackpool allocation was similar and the points for that were 3,600 which is over 600 less than Bolton, going up by 600 a season for the next 3 seasons would put the top bracket for 2,000 allocations at 6,000 meaning someone who's been to every game for 3 season would still be around 2,000 off the bracket.

At the moment this system massively punishes fans who couldn't attend as many games for the last 5 seasons for whatever reason and doesn't really give them a chance of getting into the top brackets for a long time even if they go to a lot of games now.

 

Somebody on “X” claiming someone in the queue bought 14 tickets at ticket office. All his mates ringing him up allegedly. That can’t be right can it ?

 

I’m just hoping it doesn’t go to pens at The Bradford End. Those bloody electronic boards!!!
