Hadn’t been paying attention - I had not appreciated that all of Bolton front four are loans - and all are really young lads.
We need to do what we can to capitalise on that inexperience, and get them unsettled and ( as we used to say) “roughed up”. Need one or two meaty challenges in the first few mins

Touray played there a lot this season and did well and Neufville played for the second part of last season including the play offs scored a great goal and did well. However the line ups from recent games has worked well no need to change unless Pointon or Wright are fit

    Not true.

Touray has played left side of a back 3, not a 4 and Neufville played left wing back, not left back. Both are completely different positions to the ones you're suggesting and not always easily interchangeable.

Speaking of Bolton, Kenny is apparently avilable in the summer for £1m. Exactly the type of player we should be investing in if we go up. He looked excellent against us.

We also need to try and replicate their success in the loan market next season.

We've got no chance regardless of division, clubs with far bigger budgets will be after him. The time to get him was in January

His movement off the ball was impressive.

Of course the division matters. If a player chooses to play in a lower division for the money then he’s not the type of character we need at this club.
Eg. Paul Mullin when he left newly promoted Cambridge to join a team in non league. Likewise the lad at York who I think we were after.

Mullin is probably the worst example you could quote, the lad got to live the dream for a few seasons and I'm guessing earned at least double what he would have earned elsewhere.

Players play where the money is. Wrexham's whole success has been based on players dropping down levels but paying them a premium wage to do so and I don't think Parkinson would have them if they didn't have the right character. Players sign for us as we offer them the best package and the top of the list for that is wages and location especially at this level where they are playing for their mortgage, if you can't pay a mortgage with "I play Championship football"
Sarcevic turned down a deal at Stockport to drop down to us in league 2 as it was financially better for him being a 2 year deal, it's not the first time in his career he's done that. Does that mean he doesn't have the right character?

Added to that he got a move to a club 1 hour from his home rather than over 3 hours which meant he could be closer to his son. Anyone who says they wouldn't have done exactly what he did isn't being honest.

If we went up and could offer him near guaranteed Championship football, I'd say we had a GOOD chance of getting him.

We would need another striker of course but as it stands he waltzes into our team.

Like most clubs they've had some success and some not so successful with 8 players brought in on loan this season:
    • Sharman-Lowe: got recalled by Chelsea in January after he got dropped as no 1
    • Cozier-Duberry: Their best signing
    • Burstow: Had a good start but been up and down and struggled for starts recently
    • Cissoko: if the game against Bolton was a couple of weeks earlier there's a good chance he wouldn't have been in the squad as he's been inconsistent to say the least. Since new year he's missed out on 8 of the 24 squads and that game as only his 3rd league start of the year
    • Forss: Didn't do a lot in the 1st half of the season and been injured since new year
    • Blackett-Taylor: Had a decent start after signing in January but been injured since March
    • Apter: Signed in January and not done a lot
    • Kenny: Done well for them
Out of the 8 I'd say only 2 have been real success, the rest have either been ok or done nothing.

The only way I could see us getting him would be going big on the wages and making him the highest paid player at the club for a long time
Teams in league 1 like Huddersfield and Luton could match or better that. In the Championship £1m for a striker is nothing so I think there would be quite a few established Championship sides e.g. West Brom, Preston, who would take a punt and because of the low fee it would allow them to pay a bit extra in wages which is where I would see the biggest competition

We could always resort to giving them a good kicking like Wigan did with Pointon and Metcalfe, or Bolton did to Cullen in Parky's time there.

Sarcevic has plied his trade very successfully in the bottom 2 levels. Dropping from L1 to L2 would hardly have been a huge difference in wages.
The point I was making with Mullin was he’d scored lots of goals at non league and L2 level but chose the money option instead of challenging himself at a higher level. When he finally reached that level it was clear he’s shite and PP got rid of him. He’s not even very good at L1 level as we’ve seen with our own eyes.
