I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

Trying to see what's going on from behind a supporting pillar in the Bradford End, while the tifo is unveiled and the Bolton fans are booming out a chorus of "Take me Home, Midland Road".

 

From a stadium security perspective i just wonder how much consultation WYP have had over this. Can we all agree it's almost inevitable a pitch invasion will take place from fans of the winners? Proximity of Bolton fans to main body of City fans surely therefore has to be a concern. I note a few comments on the atmosphere at the recent league game (and some alleged disorder outside Bradford Arms. I actually thought the Bolton fans were excellent, particularly their respect to the memorial and the 56th minute applause. Make no bones about it though the 2nd leg of a play off fixture will be a completely different entity with high stakes at play.
Once a fair share of away tickets between both clubs has been agreed, then priority has to be the safety of those present and I just think this can be better achieved using a tried and tested plan and one that creates distance between the sets of fans accepting no amount of stewarding will prevent pitch incursions. In my humble opinion this is not best achieved through the agreed stadium plan.

 

A pitch invasion from either set of fans would be absolutely stupid.

Plus then getting their fans away after the end of the game. When they are at one end of the ground it is easier to direct them along Midland Road towards town but when you have City fans either side they will have to either keep them in until our fans clear or use extra man power to segregate outside as well

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure they did. Apparently it's quite big and heavy though, since the city vent relinquished the considerable time and effort needed to set up these banners no one else really wants to have to do the dirty work.
