Lower kop will be fun with the usual Neanderthal inbreds that only turn up for the one big game a year.

You mean those who have been supporting City for years & years?

And have been through thick & thin & thinner years , before the latter day supporters were even born!

PS I don't have a rug or flask (yet).

This was the best solution to ensure we got a decent allocation for the first leg.

The club have learned from their mistakes and allowed the Midland Roaders the same chance as everyone else in getting decent seats. I can't understand why people are complaining.

Then to move them from the usual away section and disrupt home fans is completely bizarre and makes absolutely zero sense.

Because they've already sold the season tickets in that area. It's a complete sh1tshow and the worst part is that it's not even an increase in allocation so completely unnecessary.

Given there will likely need to be segregation in blocks A and E I don't see how Bolton will be getting much, if any more than the 2700 they got in the league fixture.

Now, if we'd give them the whole stand in return for getting the whole away end at Bolton I could have understood that.

    What limitations though Kev?

As far as I can see this is done simply to place home fans in the Bradford End when a grand total of absolutely no one has requested to sit there.

In all honesty I agree with this, but it's worth it for the meltdown alone.

As I've said earlier, I'm not too fussed at having to move but agree it seems strange to make such a radical configuration change just for the sake of having City fans in the TL Dallas which in all honesty will have zero influence on the result.
Decision has been made though and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

I'm happy to move, that's not the issue. The issue is that there isn't seemingly any purpose or sense behind the move.

If, for example they'd given Bolton the whole MR stand in exchange for a similar away allocation in the first leg then I'd be all for it.

I guess I'm just saying that it feels like the decision lacks any sort of common sense.

The grounds stand layout makes it difficult to adhere to the regs . All sensible souls would say put away fans in the Dallas and be done with it , but we all know its capacity won’t allow such arrangements . ie “ limitations” .

yep we discussed it too and made sure we had set up friends and family for our group so one of us can buy for all of us so we can sit together but in the end looks like my dad is going old school and visiting the ticket office

Are there safety reasons why we can't accommodate the Bolton fans in the Dallas Stand as I believe they were in both upper and lower tiers against us recently ?.

I wonder how much this is down to policing ?
Is the playoff game classed like a cup match and 15% of home capacity required for the away team
If 10% as normal, then 2480 Bolton fans and we are entitled to slightly more at their place 2870, if we don't get that allocation, then we should reduce their's pro rata
I am not sure this game will sell out from our side , 8 oclock on a Thursday night and on tv and potential for the tie to be done and dusted in the first leg
I already no of one season ticket holder that sits in front of me, that can not attend.
We should have plenty of seats available, just a shame we can not handle it differently

The away fans have sat in the Dallas, along with a couple of blocks in Midland Road all season. There aren't any limitations in capacity or ground regs/layout that prevent this being the case for the latest game.

So we also give them 2 blocks of MR as well. Seemed to work fine for the league games v Hudds, Barnsley, Bolton etc in the regular league games.

Bolton had almost 2800 fans at VP only recently for a Saturday game. That's well over the number required under the EFL Regs without having to impose limitations. As you say, they were adequately housed in the Bradford End and two blocks of the MR. Why this arrangement couldn't be used for a Thursday evening game defies logic.

The club has made its decision and I don't imagine for one moment that it will be changed now. That is despite the impact on its fans, not just the Midland Roaders but all those who will be impacted by the knock-on effects..
