The linesman gave it apparently Kev. Fully agree that it's a tough call though and it's difficult to see how he could be 100% confident that it had crossed the line.

Well done to all the staff and squad for finishing 4th (on goal difference) in league one, and it's not over yet. Alexander's ability to keep the points tally ticking over with a largely workman like squad, deserves immense praise. We're going to come under real pressure to keep him and Lucketti this summer, unless we a) get promotion or b) Rupp invests more in bringing real quality to the starting 11. Although we've a decent size squad, we've only really 16/17 players we can count on. The loss of Sarce for any significant length of time would've probably meant missing out on the top 6 in my opinion.
It's not over yet though. We've 2 tough games coming up, but the recent performances have improved game on game, and we're getting back to that early season consistency that saw us doing so well. I think the dropping of Humphrys was good too. He doesn't seem to bring anything extra when starting, but is a useful weapon to bring on against tiring defences.
I'm more confident going against Bolton than I would've been 4 weeks ago. Yes they can score, but they also concede which should give us a chance. Keeping within 1 goal or better at their place is vital.

I've played on Bolton's pitch, it's the same size as Wembley's.

As someone ( jokingly) said only last week , put Cissoko in row C within the first 5 minutes and their threat is reduced .

They may have to reconfigure Baldwins role when he faces him again?

A perfect time to put anti-football to bed. I’m confident it won’t work at Wembley with a quality Prem or CC ref.

I must admit sometimes I just chuckle at the sheer randomness of Alexander's selections.

It's just crazy how he throws someone a bone out of nowhere.

Kelly has hardly seen daylight since Christmas and was assumed on his way in January yet is chucked on with ten minutes to go in the match that decides our season.

    It's either genius or madness

He has done it a few times this season Lapslie and kavannagh spring to mind.

You must always have to be on your toes as a squad player in this club as you never know when you are going to be called upon.

Fair play to them all, they must be all still really digging in at training

Start of the season, how many of us would have snapped hands of for assuring 55 points?

I wonder if any of the players out on loan and not involved in the playoffs will be back to watch the game at VP?

Some of them will be too busy with their own play off games.

Imagine if Kelly had cost us a goal or two that saw us finish 7th. Fireworks on here!

A worrying amount TBH. My hope and expectations were for a play off push - i liked the noise from GA and the club and thought our recruitment suggested a go at the top 6.

Its only L1 football, its still lower league and we have to remember that. Some fans are so browbeaten that mediocrity is acceptable. We have to be more ambitious.

Now if we get promoted....then id snap your hands off at 50+ pts in the Championship. Thats a division we need to kerb our expectations - not L1.

You've been banging on about how we were going to blow it and now we've made it you've changed tack to playing down the achievement. We've spent a grand total of about 10 seasons in the top two divisions in most of our lifetimes and we are on the verge of getting there again and you think it's an under performance to be where we are right now after months of saying how sh*t we've been. Let the fans who want to give praise to the club a moment to do so.

What it tells me is that supporting a league one side might not be for some people. Perhaps a sky sports subscription and buying a Man City shirt might be the solution.

Im not playing it down at all....its a superb achievement now we have got there. I simply said if we blew it then it would be a disaster.

Christ imagine that at Wembley. No disrespect to Stevenage but a Wembley end with about 10/12000 people in doesn't look good for a playoff final, especially with some of the big attendances We've seen over the years.

My expectations and hopes for the club are higher than yours. You were a L2 happy clapper who was just happy to have a club to support.

Im sure GA, Ryan etc want to maximise our potential. No room for mediocrity (anymore).
