So it should be, not much point in bringing in players that aren't better than what you've got. 3 of our loan players didnt make the matchday squad and if Bobby, Sarc and Tyrek are fit in fact none of them would.
That jhas been a massive mistake by our hieracy and may come to define our season.

Is he another loan player Kev? I was very impressed with his all round game, physical at times but technically very good also. Took his goal really well.

He is. Signed Jan deadline day. 11 starts 6 goals. I'm sure they're divvying up a few quid for him but they're out there if you look in the right place and pay decent whack

Clearly the big outlay for their loan fees and wages is something we couldn’t match . It would be nice too but out of our bracket.

Yeah it was a good finish. The dynamic without Bobby, Sarce or Tyriek doesn't work at all. Again today we only looked threatening when Powell came on, he has a decent level of football intelligence. Metcalfe again poor, maybe we see a better version of him when we get our better players back.

Doubt it tbh. At least two of those three are in the last chance saloon ? Ashby probably has a career left?

Losing those three as I said a couple of weeks ago will hurt and forecast we’d struggle to see any again in the regular season ? Hope I’m wrong .

I'd suggest were paying a conservative £10k a week for those 3, lob in Sibley too a lot of wasted expense there

Irrespective of the amount it’s still a waste as you rightly said .

Great occasion today. Second best in terms of quality but we have a knack of digging in and getting something at VP. Tilt was outstanding today. Actually thought we did well to restrict them to one goal and Baldwin, despite having a tough afternoon, stuck to the task well.

What was Humphrys doing? Jackson must have felt like chinning him; ran himself into the ground with the press and then he looks over to see Humphrys walking and allowing them a simple pass. And obviously he couldn't be arsed tracking back in the first half, leaving them with an overlap a few times. Baffling.

Quick mention for Powell, who is a clever player up top. I'm belatedly starting to see why we signed him.

As others have said, the January window looks worse by the week. We've got three important attackers out injured and Sibley, Mullin and White can't even make the bench. It's tough to decide who's been worst out of those three. They've all been utterly dreadful.

Managed to make it up for this one:

Tilt was the standout for me, very solid all game - Walker made some good saves too so credit to him after a couple dodgy games.

Humphrys is frustrating, clearly got some talent but half the time he doesn’t look bothered -Great goal from Jackson.

Really wish we would have some more shots (ideally on target) to test the keeper.
We also seem to do some nice passing to bypass a midfielder and then just stop and pass it straight back to our defence and go back to square one.

If we can finish up next week and seal playoffs (ideally with Luton missing out), then considering our promotion last year, it’s a very good season.

How will Alexander approach the Exeter game? We only have one default way to play and any attempt to tinker it into a defensive set up, could invite untold pressure from a team needing a win to stay in the league. I've a feeling that he'll call on the older heads next week, but I'm fearful that our inability to keep clean sheets will hurt us.

If I recall correctly, the Exeter that played us in the home fixture were the better team but we managed to keep a clean sheet and nick the win... it won't be easy.
