If we'd done it on the cheap I'd agree with you, but we actually spent quite a lot of money.

I've said it a couple of times now, and I think that last line is spot on.

I worry about our ability to handle pressure, countless times at the end of last season we contrived to throw away games and ended up relying on a 96th minute fluke in the end.

The last couple of months have given me a similar vibe

No but then again you never will. Especially with the "notoriously hard" January window.

The arguement about the rights and wrongs have been done to death unfortunately the consensus is its worked out a disappointing and potentially expensive one , even without us spending real money.

I'd love to be able to sit down with the "transfer committee" and still see if they stand by their comments at the fans forum that we ended January stronger than we started it and if not what they think went wrong

Just got home so not read the thread yet.
What a great afternoon that was. After a fantastic rendering of You'll Never Walk Alone and the minutes silence i really enjoyed that game.
Bolton have some excellent players with their left winger particularly giving Baldwin a torrid time. Their goal was really well taken too.
So proud of our boys today because we really worked so hard to bridge the quality gap and fully deserved the draw.
After the game it all went a bit flat as the players seemed to congregate down by A block. I held back to applaud them but eventually left without showing my appreciation. I assume they did go around the ground as usual at some point.
    Still, a great afternoon.

A word of praise for Lapslie. Worked his socks off and did a lot of physical stuff. Big respect when he’s been on the bench or not in the squad for most of the season.

If we get to Wembley he gets my vote for 'player you'd most like to see score the winner'

Now that was a proper football match and a great advert for League One. Like most others, Tilt was my "Player of the Match", but I'd also pick out Lapslie again and Walker (for some key saves). And thank you to the Bolton fans for the respect shown today, although I never doubted we'd get that from them.

One last effort at Exeter, then one more last effort in the play off semis. Oh, and one more last effort in the play off final.

Whatever happens, this season has exceeded the expectations of most City fans. Whichever division we end up in, this will be another huge summer.

    Onwards and upwards.

It certainly has exceeded expectations we have consistently been up against teams with on paper better players than us and team spirit has got us through.
Yes the transfer committee got it mainly wrong in hindsight in January but the other clubs who were promoted with us all struggled showing how difficult it is.
Today was a great effort from the players even if we didn’t quite get the result we wanted. Let’s hope we can seal it next week

He’s a winger, wing back in the kick and rush past them with pace mould. Ask him to “ dribble” or control the ball around defenders in the Beagrie method and he’s no chance . His problem is his consistency , or lack of in bringing the ball under control . He seems to have gone backwards in that area of his game as the season has progressed?

For the record I don't think I've seen a better player than Cissoko at VP for a long time.

Easiest motm performance i've seen for some time. I thought him and the number 9 Kenny were a level above anyone else on the pitch today.

He sounded very good, just look at his pedigree, he must be costing them a great deal in fees / wages . Quite a number of their top players are loans it appears ?

Definitely so, his target seems to attack the full back when he is around 5 yards from the by line and then if he does manage to beat the man he has hardly any room or time to decide what the next course of action will be and makes the wrong decision
