Well based on who we have available for Saturday, I would not include Wright, Pointon or Sarcevic who were all injured last night. I would drop Metcalfe probably drop Lapslie into Midfield and start with Powell up front.

Metcalfe has been awful for some reason the last month, and his best game actually came when being brought on against Wycombe.

Powell gave us a presence up front last night that we didn't have first half and was winning balls in the air.

We just need to win one of our next two games to be in the play offs now, and with the cards we hold if the 3 mentioned are out we need to shuffle what we have because our January transfer window was dire and gives us few options.

I'm going to say I haven't a clue who GA will pick or who he'll have fit enough to play.
I haven't how a clue how the games going to go.
I'm already panicking and it's only Wednesday.

31 years of following this club and we never do things the easy way do we :)

I'm confident of a win on Saturday. I'd love to be able to put my finger on what system Bolton play at the minute, but it's tough! It's 4 at the back, 1 DM and the rest kinda shift all over the shop. Five defensive players, and five attackers. Which might show why they are suddenly scoring and conceding a lot lately and their form is all over the shop. Think we'll have enough to see them away for at least a point.

They look like another team who have gone back to 4 at the back. Felt like a year ago that most teams had a 532/541 type setup, but it's looking more and more like teams are going back to a back 4 to me in the teams we've faced in the last few months.

We will need to look after Duberry probably one of the best player in League one this season

I wonder if both teams will settle for the point needed?

both teams need the win to push for the 3 or 4 place though. A point might guarantee play off but not the home advantage in final game

That's true, but better to be in it than risk losing both of the remaining games.

Probably depend on the match scenario. If say Stockport are losing and the point serves both of us, then maybe both teams ease off. I suppose it depends how much someone wants to finish in a certain spot. I don't think City really care who we play? We've shown we can get a result against most this season who are in the mixer.

I'd prefer to be 3rd or 6th, couldn't care who we play, just that i have a work night out paid for by the firm that Thursday night of the second leg and turning down a freebie night is never on my cards!

Depends on the managers mentality but just go out for the win then there is no worry going into the last game

Worth remembering Bolton had a red card in their defence last week. Their keeper they brought in January has been a bit hit and miss too it seems with the fanbase, he's conceded in 23 goals this season and just 4 clean sheets since he joined.

I don't think the "hold out for a point" approach really works with Bolton. They've scored 25 goals from the 76th min onwards in games this season and have conceded just 6 in the last 15+ of matches all season long. In matches up to 75th min in L1 this season, if you create a table to that point in matches then Bolton are 18th. From 76min to full time, Bolton are top by some way with over 20 points won late on in games this season. No team has scored more or conceded less late on in the EFL, but they look vulnerable early. We need to get at them fast and with intent on saturday.

The late goals they score thing worries me a lot considering how many late goals we seem to bloody concede!

If Stevenage were to lose in the early game, Bolton would be pretty much guaranteed a play off spot as their goal difference is +17 on Stevenage, which means they could drop no lower than 6th place. However any other result would mean they need 1 more point to be sure. WIth the team being picked at 13:45 they can only go out with this game in mind.

All the the teams 3 to 6th are probably wanting the current 4 to stay the same, because with Luton still working on Parachute money payments and in the best form, any play off campaign against them is one to avoid.

Sarce injured not as bad as first feared. GA says he should be fit for one if not both of the remaining games.

If Stevenage and Stockport win their lunchtime games, we would drop to 6th by the time we kick off. Probably our lowest position since August?. Still in a great position though.

Personally, I think all games should kick off at same time so close to end of season

Although unlikely, Posh could theoretically still get relegated so I hope they are well up for the Stockport trip.
Doncaster are safe but as the home side could quite well take points off Stevenage.
But when it comes to the crunch, it's in our hands. We need to show the steel and physicality we showed against Stockport and Plymouth and go out and win this one.

McCann has already said he is putting the kids out plus Billy Sharp. Guess we knew he would do nothing to help us.

Let’s go out and play like we know they can.
