I'd imagine Walker could well be relegated to back up keeper next season. His time with us is pretty much his longest stint as a No 1 other than a few years at Colchester in the early/mid 2010s.

He's been reliable for the most part but he's definitely upgradable.

I would cut Metcalfe some slack.I think events have caught up with him,and his inexperience in this situation has seen a drop off in form.I think(hope) that this season has been a learning curve for him,and next season he will flourish.

Just watched the highlights. I hadn't realised Lapslie had a header cleared off the line too, although I'm not sure the defender knew much about it. But, how good was the trickery from Humps to beat the two men marking him just prior to his shot that led to the goal.

 

Think Humphrey’s has come in for some harsh criticism this season. I get that he can’t be frustrating at times, but he’s literally the only player in the squad who has pace, can beat a man and produce something out of nowhere. Without him yesterday we lose the game and in all likelihood probably drop out of the playoffs.

I dont think its about cutting him some slack - the criticism is warranted. He has been poor for a while now and its about the team - we need an upgrade in the centre midfield positions in terms of the squad and the first 11. If Metcalfe or Power lose their shirt to a better player then tough.

 

Spot on. He shows moments of brilliance pretty much in every match then moments on absolute dross at other times. That said, he is an important part of the team for me and him cutting in from that left hand side is a danger to any team.

Whole he may not have got the assist or goal, the fact is he has probably been involved with another 10 this season just from making things happen.

 

Like when he brought Pennington on last night. Tilt looked as if he hadn’t a clue where to go or what to do, and the others looked a bit miffed.

 

I would be more worried about Power.Metcalfe will improve,but Power wont.

 

Bulls have just installed these electronic boards down either side of pitch. Causing carnage as Sky are dimming contrast to counter it and viewers at home are complaining Odsal looks in darkness. To those in attendance, its fine.

I struggle at City to see whats going on behind the Bradford End goal.

Didn't see either goal last night due to not being able to track the ball once it got lost in the lights of the LED boards.

 

They are fcuking awful for night matches. Completley spoils it watching from the Bantams Bar at that Far end.

 

It was only a few weeks ago he was contesting Bradford Citys POTS, and was also named in the EFL young player of the season, football fans eh ?.

 

He is the definition of those players you hear about with a "well if he could do that he wouldn't be at this level" tag. I think it's body language more than anything with him, he tracks back or plods around the pitch with a look on him like he'd rather be anywhere else on the planet than trying to track a man.

I think he works best as a left winger, we seem to be able to get the most out of him lately when he is playing on the left too. If he could add some endeavour or drive in his off the ball work, he wouldn't be at this level. I remember when he signed, some Barnsley and Wigan fans on twitter said you'll see a player who looks like he cant be arsed 90% of the time and then pull something magic out the bag, and we are seeing exactly that. He seemingly plays well every April & May apparently, shop window player was tagged on him at old clubs too.

 

We should walk into 3rd place then once he starts playing .

 

That's right. He is young and this has been his first full season and at the highest level he has played. His form has dropped probably due to the number of games he has played. Mental tiredness rather than physical comes in and at the moment he is probably trying too hard. We all learn more when things are not running as smoothly as we would hope so this is just a part of his learning curve.
