Are City going up this season?

Saw an interesting table on twitter, the would be L1 table if games ended at 90 mins.



We would be 5 points better off and 3 points away from Cardiff. Bolton are unreal in once the additional time board goes up, they've claimed nearly 20 points in added on time this season!

 

Wow. Not a huge amount of change in terms of league positions for the top 10 apart from Bolton who don't even make 12th! That's crazy and something to be very wary of both next Saturday and in the playoffs, should we get there and face them.

This will be the first time ( should we get in ) that i aint got one bit of confidence that we will do anything............thats why i probably more chilled just not expecting anything at alls

 

You've missed one I think-the Millwall semi final loss. I get what you mean though but for me I just want us to get there and then we'll see what happens.
It would be a real let down to not make the playoffs now after being up there all season.

 

Yeah that was another and i felt in all five of themmy hopes where high of doing something ..........this time i aint got the same feeling ..........we magically turn up and kick into form like we did August to October then i would have a different view but we aint been nothing apart from the odd game ...........just think that whoever lands in there will fancy there chances against us

 

Im sure we will be the longest odds of whichever 4 teams are in there if we make it.
Actually I've just realised we've both forgotten about the Carlisle loss under Hughes. That season has a lot of similarities to this one but in reverse. I remember we were very good on the road but poor at home. I always felt then that we were short of being a promotion team, but yet that team could and should have got to Wembley had it not been for the worst substitution I've ever seen!

 

Should have gone for the throat at VP sat back in the 2nd half and did nothing ............. shame because i liked the guy but he should have been fooked off after that 2nd leg

 

I’m trying to remember the last time we went for the throat in games we’ve dominated. We only ever seem to score 1 or 2 even in games like Peterborough where we had 30 shots at goal.
When was last time we scored 4 in a game?

we’ve also gotten into a bad habit of conceding in injury time when not under any pressure. That has to stop

 

Probably when we lost 5-4 to Swindon last season and oh, didn't we concede the winner in injury time then as well! Perhaps not just a recent habit but definitely one that has to stop.

 

Out of 27 possible combinations of results for City, Luton and Plymouth on Saturday 19 will have City in the playoffs

 

5 point gap with 6 points up to play for is the simplest way to look at it. I reckon every other fan base but ours have already pretty much nailed on that we will be in the POs come May. We need 3 teams to out points us over two games and that's going to be the worry for the rest, there's a lot of work the rest need to do to catch us. Let's face it, there's a very real scenario with 5 minutes to go on Saturday if us and Bolton just need a point and other results are going our way, we could just see both teams pass it about the defence until the whistle.

Mind you, i think we win on saturday anyways and it will all be a moot point by Exeter.
