I'm not over keen and feel he deserved a lot of credit for our home record, but could be at a point where he cannot take us any further now, in line with how his career as a manager has panned out, like you say it is a defenders mentality to the game and very one dimensional. We're becoming a strikers graveyard. Words such as skill and creativity never seem to come out of his mouth - it's often quite boring to watch.

Walker is becoming a liability, he made one good save and two pathetic attempts at making one.

Some of the vitriol being aimed at him on twitter is disgusting and way over the top. There are still 3 games of the regular season left and hopefully another 3 after that which he will be playing in because we currently don't have a better alternative in the building. We want him to be able to do the best job he can for us in those games so probably not the best idea to be posting negative crap about him which he will either see himself or hear about through others. Idiots.

He certainly couldn't have done any worse, than those front 3 first half, we were dire, although Alexander made 4 changes we started playing once Sarcevic got involved.

It has been pretty bad this year. The one tactic fits all approach has cost us in away games.

This lies with the manager to come up with then implement and ensure the players respond.

Too many games he won't sub until late in the game and the stick the same tactics.

Such a difference to earlier in the season when we were new.

We really need to get a run together of home and away results to build confidence all round and that's what's been our biggest issue since January in my opinion

Bolton recently lost at Port Vale and Plymouth needed a last gasp equaliser against out of form Exeter. Yet, we biggie these teams up as though they are peak Man City. Given the inconsistency of this division, I wouldn't be surprised if we've already got enough points.

Well what an utterly appalling performance that was. Completely clueless until the substitutions and even then we never looked fully convincing. Our inability to pass through midfield against 10 men, instead going to the predictable aimless long ball down the flanks shows the limitations this side has. That first 65.minutes was a crime against football. Badly need Tyriek and Bobby back and also a fit Sarce otherwise we are toothless.

I agree. Nobody can get it together but someone has to string 2 or 3 wins together at some point and if they do I reckon we'll get caught. Seemed unlikely but suddenly come next week we could have 2 or 3 teams only a point or two behind us.

A good point against 10 men who have nothing to play for and announcing their manager leaving at the end of the season? Give your head a wobble.

It was brought into sharp focus. Absolutely nothing through the middle. We have one strategy that works very well but it's our 'go to' every single time. Any manager worth his salt will send his teams out with a simple instruction to watch the diagonal over the full back and deal with it. We do nothing else.

You've said you never fancied him and definitely proove it with this statement.

    1. If he has a defenders mentality, why do we play 3-4-3? Why did he pick three strikers as a front three today? Why doesn't he play 5-4-1 instead?
    2. For just over two years we've taken an average of around 80 points per season. But apparently we can't defend set pieces.

A good point in the context of the season. That announcement, simply galvanised their players - who can turn it on when they want, but don't do it enough. Hence, why there's a parting of the ways.

Without Sarce on the field we look clueless. More movement in walking football than our two central midfielders and that for me was a primary reason we struggled today. We have no ability to attack down the middle or open teams up, can be painful.watching at times.

We got behind their defence on numerous occasions from crossfield balls the tactics worked. It was the quality of the crosses which was lacking apart from 1 from Humphrey

Yes. Given our position. That's what promotion chasing team do. Win at home and draw away from home.

Puzzled why you think that's a bad thing.

He’s another donkey, sadly. Zero composure - not as bad as Wheatley but still very wasteful. He’ll be having nightmares about the sitter he missed today.

I agree, it does work. It's a huge factor in why we are where we are but it'd be nice to see us mix it up a bit.

Technically, Barnsley have better players than us.

Too many fans, seem to think that we have a right to now be beating everyone, when they should be amazed at how GA has managed to get us in this position. Fortunately, some other are amazed- hence why he's in the manager of the year list.

And yes, an hour of this performance was piss poor. But just before kicking the cat - let's look around and see where the rest of the teams that got promoted with us are.

I've said since we were top in September, that 9th place would be amazing. And we're now guranteed 9th.
