Just been reading that the ref for today's game is apparently a bit card happy with an average of +4 yellows per game and a red in each of his last three games. Power is going to have to be careful.

Is he close to a ban?

 

He's on 13 currently, 15 would see him receive a 3 match ban.

Apparently, Barnsley gave announced that their manager is leaving at end of season. Odd timing to release that.

 

It's been rumoured to be very toxic at Barnsley at the minute. What a weird thing to announce hours before a game!

 

Players are only human let’s hope he’s well liked and it has an effect on them.

 

Yeah, let's hope we can capitalise on this!

I wouldn't be concerned by it. The league average is 3.8 yellows per match, he's on 3.6 from 22 games this season so he's below average. Yellow cards a game is pretty common especially in games with us as we average 2.6 per game and top the list for most yellow cards this season, Barnsley average 2 so even a average game for both of us should mean there are 4 or 5 yellows today.
The 3 red cards were 3 clear red cards so can't put any blame on him or judge him for it. 1 was for 2 very clear yellow cards, 1 was for a elbow smash into the face and the other was for a clear DOGSO.
As long as we don't do anything stupid we shouldn't have anything to worry about.

 

3 changes with Pennington, Jackson and Swan in for Wright, Pointon and Sarcevic. Hopefully Sarcevic is just a precaution and nothing too concerning.

Does this finally mean we get to see Humphrys playing as a wide forward?

 

Humphrys, Jackson and Swan is a very mobile front 3. Look forward to seeing how they work together.

 

Swan in the middle ?

 

Be a real boost if we stumble on some kind of formula here with them 3 playing with Swan at the point up top.
