I feel like we've had a few of these that are nothing too serious then they turn out to be a few weeks out at least and that was my first fear when he went down on Saturday. It's the type of player he is and I don't think there's a way of avoiding these contact injuries but it has got to be frustrating for him that this is the 3rd like it in the last 12 months. If the others are anything to go by we are looking at 3-4 weeks out.
Bad timing as well with Wright injured which leaves us short at both LWB and the left 10. It's a good job Ashby is back fit and had a good game against Wycombe as well as both Jackson & Powell being back

We need to get something here, as the last three games could potentially be far harder, against teams with something to play for.

 

The Barnsley manager's press conference is now on You Tube. He is fairly optimistic that McGoldrick will be fit to play 30 minutes, so City defenders should avoid silly freekicks just outside the penalty area.

 

Have you rung the ticket office. They do get a few returned now and then but don't put them back online. It might be worth a shot, my working pattern changed in the week up to Bolton away and I got some tickets a few days before the game where circumstances of the other person must have also changed.

Why's it a stupid thing to say? If asked the question in a press conference what would you expect the manager to say? Seems a perfectly reasonable comment to me given he's returning from a period of time out.

Honestly Jon, I take anything a football manager says in interviews with a pinch of salt . Cynic maybe , but whichever way we look at it , they are designed to “ kid” someone ….Fans or opposition .
