2 changes with Ashby and Evans in for Neufville and Metcalfe. Changes on the bench as well with Jackson and Powell making a return. I like the balance of that bench more with both Jackson and Powell able to play in the 10 role which should allow us to give Pointon and Sarcevic a break if needed.

 

Looks like the boss has given up on Mullin and Wheatley for now. Powell and Jackson take their place on the bench.

 

Not seen owt from Ashby to warrant a start but Neufville isn’t the same player he was early on.

Well yes, if you take into account that he plays his best when alongside another striker, and we don’t play with two up top.

 

Who else at RWB though? Josh maybe needs a rest or got a knock.

 

Like most of our January signings. Sibley and White dont get a sniff. Wheatley and Mullin are both shite.

Ashby we will see today , chance to redeem. Evans the jury is out. Jackson a solid 7/10.

 

I completely forgot that Sibley and White even existed!

 

When did Powell last play?

 

I don't think Josh has missed many games so far this season, hopefully a rest rather than a knock.

 

Can't recall him playing since being hooked at Newcastle but I may be wrong.

 

A long time ago. He has risen again at Easter. Very appropriate.

 

Hopefully just a rest as he definitely has something to offer going forward when he’s on it.

 

Lets hope he gets on the end of a cross.

 

Ashby and Touray in a back 4, yes! Back 5?... seems like they'd be far too defensive to get forward. Hope im wrong but it feels like we have a flat back 5 with 2 full backs who'll sit far more than go forward.

And with Power and Evans, it feels like its a deep 7 hoping to leave with a point.

 

So as I sadly predicted, Wheatley's time here is done I think. God loves a tryer, but he also loves someone who can stick the ball in the back of the net. Sadly Wheatley can't seem to do that. The pass back into touch when in the corner was the final nail.

 

Wow I'm shocked to see Powell back. The few times he played he looked to be just going through the motions with zero effort. Ashby on the other hand, I think he has something so hopefully surprises us.
