To be honest I was surprised how they went about us in the first 10/15 minutes they had a couple of good early chances but as you say our defenders dealt with them pretty well, in fact the only times we looked in danger was through our own bad defensive decisions.

 

It wasn't a great game, but I'm in the 3 points gained is all that matters camp. I think back to the Barnsley game earlier in the season which was fantastic to watch, but we only took a point.

Still better than watching England.

 

Won ugly today you could argue they had more clear cut chances. I thought Tilt and Baldwin had good games and Neufville grew into it. Few off games amongst the rest.

Forgettable game but we've played better and lost it's how it goes sometimes.

Glad Eaves only came on as sub as i thought he was a real handful

 

I dont know how we can do it but we need to score more goals

But form goes out of the window in a play off situation, its who turns up on the day, we know how poor we can be at times but we've have also seen games were the opposition cant live with us.

To answer your above we've done Stockport both at home and at their place so why would they be more of a problem to us than we've shown we are to them, we went to Bolton when they were beating all comers at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and took a point lets see how they perform at Valley Parade.

If he is 100% fit I am puzzled why he didn't start. I am glad he didn't.

 

Solid but unspectacular performance.

Not a single person on here would have thought at the start of the season we would be sat in 4th spot on 68 points with 6 games to play.

Jackson doesn't sound that far away from coming back. He could be the key for us IF we secure a playoff spot.

Now the Wycombe, Stevenage and Plymouth games are going to be nail biters for sure. I think we will have enough though.

 

The referee today was the referee we had for the last game of the season against Fleetwood I thought he did well over all but have to question a couple of his calls, the high kick that didn't even get a yellow although we seen players given reds for that sort of high challenge, and then flashes a yellow at Metcalfe for something and nothing, your right it wasn't a classic by any means.
I posted we needed a couple of subs around 65 minutes and named the two I'd bring on, but I thought he would have taken Humphrys and Sarcevic off not Metcalf although as you say it wasn't one of his better games today, we move on to Monday to a very good home team in Wycombe, yes I'll take a point now.

 

Watching paint dry is better than watching England, what the hell was Tuchel thinking of playing Foden as a striker, I wonder if Tuchel's had been spying on us training at Rawdon Meadows ?.

A good captain's performance from Power today. Unfortunately another booking means he is 2 more yellow cards from a 3 match suspension, which would be quite a blow for us.

 

But only on match days it seems , whatever the result ? The pattern is obvious.

 

Quite amusing really. Start of season from fans- If we finish 6th bottom we will be delighted. - Autumn time- We could get in the playoffs but probably mid table and we will be pleased. January- Play offs certain chance of automatic. April- from some fans- I know we won but we were rubbish, a disgrace even though we’re heading for play offs. May after likely defeat in play offs. -Garbage, Alexander out, Sparks out.

 

Despite EVERYONE saying we must consolidate in our first season and half way up the table would be a blessing . I’m more than greatful we have way way outperformed EVERYONES , inc your and mine expectations.

 

Once again, shite today. I predict Wycombe beat us. We limp into the play offs.

And Ethan Wheatley is shite too.

 

With the gap we have to 7th we should be fine even if he does get to 15, the regulations seem to be that the ban doesn't carry over to the play offs so nothing to worry about in terms of that. We coped fine in the Stockport game without him and I think Evans has shown some promise when he's come on.

Happy with thw 3pts but home to Northampton who are absolutely shite...that was bad.

Play like that against a decent side and we get hammered.

 

There's 20 other teams who would love to limp as comfortably into the play offs as us.

I'll take the positives, carry on enjoying the season and leave the doom mongers to their misery.
