That all certainly sounds impressive. I suppose we’d have to compare other clubs at our levels turnover between 2015 and now. I imagine most have had increases, it’s just by how much that’s the question.

I know the figures. It’s all in the public domain - take a look.

If you know how much money that Rupp has invested, tell us! Or even a ‘ball-park’.

ZERO then as there isn't a cat in hells chance of Rupp purchasing Valley Parade, that is what came across in the latest video you did along side David Sharpe, Stephen Gent and Graham Alexander.

Last financials end June 2024 shows a shareholders deficit of £2.5m He has 100% Shareholding. Plus inital purchase price of a reputed £5.5m.
So There's £8M there. The next finanicials will show another deficit, So he'll have plugged that gap too. Whatever it will be £1m-2m I'd suggest
The talk is he want £10m for the Club which apparently will be pretty much what he'll have stuck in
@Dennis@Dennis Is the man for this more than me for this.
But hopefully give's you an insight

    Correct!

He’s put in £4.5m these past two seasons alone (inc £500k this Jan).

Still, he’s no interest in the club and obviously wants to sell, though!

Of course he has an interest in the club. He's got a lot of money tied up in it that he would presumably want back one day.

Don't mistake interest in the business with a passion for the football club. These are two completely separate entities.

By investing he's been protecting and hopefully growing his investment. No more, no less.

Why should anyone be overjoyed that he’s putting money into a club he chose to buy? He had to do it to protect his original investment after running it into the ground. Football clubs cost money, if he doesn't like it he shouldn't have bought one.

    You’re missing the point.

Going back on topic, I’m merely pointing out that he HAS invested (quite substantially) when many others forever maintain he hasn’t.

£4.5 million (your figures) over two seasons is not enough to sustain Championship football. Which is what Dennis was talking about.

You mean since you started posting, I wouldn't say that you're usually pretty informative.

    We wouldn’t need to.

Projected turnover for this financial year is circa £12m-£13m (which includes £2.5m investment from Rupp). Solidarity payments for L1 is a smidge under £2m, compared to £12m in the Championship from next season.

Even without Rupp investment, we could expect to turnover a bare minimum of £22m. However, more realistically, it’ll be circa £25m. I’m not suggesting a £25m wage budget guarantees success, but I sure as hell know a £40m playing budget doesn’t either.

Too much gets made of playing budgets.

Your response had absolutely nothing to do with my original point. You’re either deflecting because you don’t understand my initial analogy or you just haven’t read my post properly.

How could I misread "Almost enough to purchase Valley Parade twice over" my reply stays the same, as I posted it was said in the video interview, thats not a road that Rupp/club are going down at the moment.

…but I wasn’t suggesting Rupp was actively looking to purchase VP, was I?
