We could try something different like 3-5-2. How about
    Walker
    Pennington Baldwin Tilt
    Neufville Power Metcalfe Evans Wright
    Sarcevic Humphrys
    Just be hard to beat.
    No Bobby to start away.

I know it's not a popular opinion but honestly if I was Alexander or any of the players reading this board I'd just want to give up and tell myself 'what's the point!?' We've had an amazing season, our squad is performing way beyond expectations and dare I say their credentials. We've had some poor performances away but then again so have the vast majority of sides in this division. Our home form is ridiculous and we currently sit comfortably in the play off positions.

I really don't understand this weird entitlement that somehow the team have an obligation and a duty to us to be doing better than we currently are. Our strategy has been to maximise our position on our home form. If we'd lost 4 more games at home and won 4 more away would that make some of you happier? I really don't see what difference it makes in terms of accumulating points. Can we criticise the team? Of course we can, but I don't understand the tone of the criticism.

GA has lots of credit in the bank but his inability to influence the abysmal away form is beginning to making me wonder. He clearly like records... but that would not be one to be proud of !

    Its all on Alexander

He gets rid of Haliday and Cook (be it a loan for cook) to suit a fitter faster squad. Result no goals He chose this

He plays Max Power every week. Despite our midfield being useless and bypassed

Our defence are knackered because of lack of midfield

Our strickers get no service because of lack of midfield

He plays the one up front that scares no one

He is too stubborn to admit his failure tactics and change it.

Lets face it his decisions will cost us time after time and his weak bottle job mindset will mean we get mauled on the playoffs.

But at least it won't worry our chairman

I personally don't want to see us do that but we cant keep making excuses for not getting something out of games where we actually created a couple of very good chances before the opposition scored.
Just listening to Alexander post match interview and although some may not like it we are our own worst enemy, I get we are in League One and players at our level will miss guilt edge chances which sat in the stand or in our armchair look harder to miss than score, this little break will be helpful with regards possibly getting Jackson back, Alexander was saying he's in front of where we thought he might be at this stage, but as we know that does not mean he will not have a set back, fingers crossed.

In the same way most of us don’t understand the tone of the defeats….. not the defeats themselves

I think we probably need 3 wins and a couple of draws to make absolutely sure of a playoff spot but that's not taking into account what our rivals do. But our home form is vital.

This has to be first prize for overreaction of the season.

His tactics have taken us from being stuck in league 2 to 4th in league 2 with one of the best home records in Europe. He's changed things, on tuesday he changed the team to a 4141 when chasing the game including putting Wright on the right and that got us a point. His tactics have won us far more points that it has lost us. If he has a weak mindset then I'd love to know these managers that have a strong mindset. A weak manager crumbles when the pressure is on and doesn't recover the team when fans are having meltdowns like the defeat at Harrogate 2 years ago or notts county away last season or late January this season.

If we limp into the playoffs we can forget it. The team who are consistently good and have momentum win the playoffs. We looked out of ideas today and other away days. We need to be playing like we did at the start of the season. Sorry if this sounds negative but it is so hard to watch it atm.

I'll admit the game against Northampton is now huge, obviously.

what from the manager that got us in this great position in the first place. I haven’t seen the game today but it’s a poor defeat from a team lacking two of its best midfielders and to make matters worse it looks like we have lost Sarcevic
Unfortunately we now don’t play for nearly two weeks time so it would be good to get away on a training camp or extra work at apperley bridge to find an effective way to play away from home. But to suggest we change manager if we fail is madness and will halt this clubs progress it has made

It feels so bad as we're not picking up draws away like we were earlier in the season which help keep the points ticking over and always helps feelings especially when they are often in between home wins so they feel like good points.

We're currently on 20 points away from home but that is largely down to the first 10 away games getting 14 points with 3 wins, 5 draws and only 2 losses. Since then it is 6 points from 10 with 2 wins, 0 draws and 8 losses. This run of 10 games has brought back all of the memories of the struggles of last season which are now overriding memories of the good away start we had.

Thats why i dont bother watching it just so frustrating maybe the problem is the majority of us have got to carried away with it ................i personally think we will get into the playoffs but will be decked if we get into the final .................i would actually take a fooking boring negative away performance if we get a result because whats going off is clearly not working
