    Notts County away, is the last one I went on.
    Absolute hell.
    I remember having long discussions about the fact that Northern Rail, only ran trains with the standard number of units, and despite knowing beforehand, due to online sales, that the trains would probably break every health and safety rule, they didn’t run extra services or put units on with greater capacity..
    Terms like Sardines come to mind, not able to get to the toilets (and not bothering), a person collapsing, poor standard passengers trying to use the service, hammering of windows by pissed up Youff!
    I could have gone to Bolton by train but decided to drive.

    N.B.
    Trains from Bradford to Barnsley typically take, one hour and six minutes,
    covering a distance of approximately 20 miles.

    Sounds like the old Stockport trains on a Friday night back in the 70’s . Lie down seating available on the overhead luggage racks …I kid you not . Mad !

    You won’t be allowed in any of them as it’s all Barnsley in/around City Centre.
    Has been for years.
    Only place away fans are allowed is the swimming centre up by the ground.

    There’s plenty that do, spoons is normally alright. Just don’t be a nob and probably don’t wear colours and you’ll be fine.

    It was a common scene in the 70’s as I said earlier , away trips via train , Barnsley, Rotherham, Halifax especially , County, Donny , Rochdale to name locals. Fans never mixed on the trains but the stations were “interesting” if the police weren’t organised.

    I'm sure @Kevin1954@Kevin1954 could tell us how the railway industry are allowed to get away with standing when all seating is taken, when you travel on a bus it has a notice saying how many seat and how many are allowed to stand in the past I've seen the driver get ouf of his cab and count the standing passengers (it was even worse back in the days of trams) just ask @Park bantam@Park bantam @Captain Grumpy@Captain Grumpy @Old Grey Fox@Old Grey Fox or @loz@loz :laughing: you have to wonder about the H&S issue.

    I honestly don’t think there is a definition of “overcrowding” on the railway . I certainly can’t remember one . The underground is a joy to behold during the morning peak . Glad I’ve non of that nonsense anymore!
