Dont know if any of you have seen the report on the bbc sport site ???????
Majority of championship clubs reporting huge losses seemonly a matter of time before the next Sheff Wed is upon another club ...............sorry its time that the powers that be start to get a grip of it

Get a grip of what? Greedy, overpaid tier 2 players who think they’re worth 20k+ a week with owners willing to be extorted in search of the ‘holy grail’ of the PL?

There are already caps in place on players' wages. Imo, they work reasonably well in Lges 1 and 2. But they don't stop some owners using their own money to subsidise their clubs and fund their losses which pushes up players wages for other clubs.

The PL is in the throes of introducing caps for their clubs but it's limited to plsyers's wages and it won't tackle the transfer fee issues. But it's a start. The one area where caps have yet to be introduced is in the Championship. The EFL has yet to get a grip there and continues to let Championship clubs generate huge losses every season largely driven by unsustainable player.costs. That's now institutionslised in the Championship. I thought thst the Wednesday saga might have become a wake-up call for the Championship but there's little sign of that so far. There are still vested interests who choose to ignore this issue and very wealthy individuals who don't mind putting their hands into their own pockets in pursuit of their PL dreams. It's absolute madness and imo there'll be another Wednesday in the near future wirh possibly a different outcome.

Sad though that club with a fanbase like ours isnt allowed to compete at a higher level without getting itself into masdive debt

Are we not running at a small loss
I thought I had seen around £3million this season
If you can call that small
    Covered by Rupp
Other clubs in this league running on far greater losses, which for league one clubs is insane
I bet Luton and Cardiff even post a loss, parachute payments included

I maybe wrong but I’ve seen this a few times now. I thought it was that we would lose £3 million if not for the rise in season ticket prices.

He’s changed his tune when he thought he could walk out of L2 spending dollars like water to say “ look how good I am” . Is he a mate of Nagle ?

Not entirely certain, but I thought it was for the current season
Whichever, football currently is no way to run a business

I had to laugh …” A luxury tax “ if overspending. Most clubs with money will simply overspend , pay the “ luxury tax” as a side spend whilst chasing the Prem dream .

Meanwhile in all of this the bbc and other naive media outlets go all week kneed at Wrexham

A club that single most sums up why the non EPL side of the game is heading into insanity and insolvency.

Anyone for another stolen 20 seconds during a match for a camera cut away to Hollywooders acting all soccer watching their ego project?

Has Rupp actually put his own money in to the club or has he just allowed the club to borrow more by gauranteeing the loans with the bank while the club pay the interest on them

I really hope it goes tits up for them
In fact if I was the English FA , I would throw all Welsh clubs out of the competition

The loan he has provided to date to the club was provided by Rupp himself and at zero interest. Do you believe a bank or another financial provider would consider providing a loan to a loss-making club with no collateral of its own, which still owe money from Admin 2 to a major bank, which is owned by a German company and would be guaranteed by a non-UK resident? Not a chance!

I did say probably to the question is this Rupp,s own money
Knowing it’s very unlikely the club could agree any sort of loan of that amount, with next to nothing in assets
