Really? Don’t understand your observations of a team that played with 9 behind the ball after going ahead..They were utter garbage . Apologies.

How come every player we loan out does amazing things yet every loan player we bring in don’t improve us at all!
After last nights performance I’d consider bringing Leigh and Cook back

I think Mullin away and Mullin at home are two different scenarios. Would love to see him attacking the Kop end when we’re playing our free flowing home football. Away from home with one up top and raining hoofballs is a thankless task for any striker no matter how experienced they are. Whoever starts on Saturday against the Brewers I’m sure will have a torrid time.

I fully agree about Pointon. Thought he worked his socks off and yet Nathan Atkinson scored only Wheatley less than Bobby. Strange how some people see things so differently.

If Mullin isn’t offside then he’s give a free kick away.
    Absolute shite. Send him back.

We can neither recall Cook and Leigh or send Mullin back, they are contracted till the end of the season.

Think he is wrong with that statement. For one GA doesn’t sign the contracts.

I think Clough is trying to pull a fast one. He now claims it wasn’t concussion! Then starts rambling on about protocol. Protocol for what exactly? Concussion must not be taken lightly, and that is why we have protocols. Plus I wasn’t aware that Clough has a medical degree. He has a player who says he is suffering from a headache and quite rightly he takes him off, and a replacement comes on. He is entitled to 5 subs not 6. The only way you get a pass on that is if your player does have concussion.

The referee was just useless. He is ordering on the medics before he even got to the player to ask him what was the problem. This playing fast and loose with the rules is infuriating. Why does one type of injury warrant an extra sub rather than another? If a player bangs his head on the ground or another player he may well be suffering from concussion, double vision, nausea, dizziness etc these may materialise up to 48 hours after from memory.
The FA need to have a word with Mansfield.

Yep, and it's not like Clough can claim it was an honest mistake either as he's openly admitted it wasn't concussion. It needs a fine imo.

Not a great performance and needed another goal of the month contender to get the goal.

I can understand why Wheatley has been playing and I would imagine the hope has been that he can get a goal that gives him confidence but last night I think it was the point where we went passed trying to play him into form into damaging him. First 10 minutes he looked OK but once he lost the first couple of battles his head dropped which is a problem with him.
Alexander knows the pressure is on now to secure a top 6 spot and it's why I think he's using the interviews to deflect from the players and onto the opponents and referees. Maybe if we slowed the game down at Reading we wouldn't have thrown it away like we did. Whilst the 5 minutes added was low I feel it could have been 10 minutes and we were not going to score.
We put a lot of crosses into the box but they were winning nearly every header, looking at the stats we only completed 7 out of 29 crosses and 2 of them completed crossed ended up outside the area. It's something we need to look at as we've seen in the last 2 games when a team gets in front and sets up to defend we don't know how to break them down.

Exactly. Yet he must have told the 4th official it was concussion for the substitution to made. What I wasn’t aware of is Alexander was also entitled to make 6 changes too. Hopefully there’s repercussions for Clough because that’s not in the spirit of the game.

He's struggled at this level every time he's been here and it doesn't look like that will change this season.

Only one player that came in January can command a first team place but prob won’t see him until playoffs (inexcusable if not in them).
Rest brought in are utter waste of money, with Mullin being the biggest. The definition of a panic buy!

It was such a simple game for working men to watch over the years the powers that be have change things that didnt need changing, last night beling a perfect example, it certainly baffled fans and the officials, once again what is the 4th official there for, did Clough convey to the 4th official he wanted to sub Russell because he was complaining of headache, and if so the substitution should not have been allowed.
They should have asked me I know all about headaches being married 56 years :worried:.

We don’t play to his strengths. He works best with a tall man next to him.

Poor signing by us really. Crowd pleaser signing.

Does that apply to every team he's ever played for at this level or is it just an excuse while he's with us?
