I don’t agree, however it is starting to look a bit like that. Really baffled Mullin didn’t come on given we had so much of the ball in the wide areas in the last 20 mins, yet had only Swan to hit in the middle.

Limping home is not good for the outcome of the playoffs though. Consistency is what we need.

If it is concussion, then surely he misses up coming games if not it’s a blatant cheating on their part to get an extra pair of fresh legs onto the pitch

My mate's telling me Clough said he didn't have a concussion... so there's going to have to be a consequence if that's the case? You can't use a concussion sub and try to weasel out of the medical suspension, surely?

    If true, that's shady.

Yes that one puzzled me, it was not a head injury, so play should have gone to a natural conclusion
Instead we were pulled up and a bounce ball given where the so called injury was , when sarce was clean through
A ball we only just kept possession from

Did you notice also the lad Oshilaja went down holding his head, but realised there was no benefit so just got back up and ran back.

    Clough's a cheat, no question.

Their lad originally pointed to his groin when he went down in the box. Stretching his legs sideways then suddenly the physio was attending to his head and was on the blower to the bench for a good while before the lad got up holding his right ear. A proper concussion would have resulted in a much more thorough examination on the pitch before moving the player. Remember Patto getting mullered in the face with the ball. He was down for ages.

    Typical Clough antics.

You think with the amount of game time that Mullin or in fact all the strikers brought in, Cook wouldnt have done better ????
Times since his departure thst we have ended up lobbing balls into the box and not one of our forwards have looked like doing anything .............listen i aint saying he was the answer but not one of the forwards that came in to replace him or that are still there have done anything to make up for his departure :(

Andy Cook made 12 appearances getting 3 goals
The 3 signings in to replace him in Jan
Have 21 appearances between them with one goal between the lot ..................thats really a very poor showing considering Cook was deemed to slow not good enough ............but i would have him over any of our forwards down there

Don't begrudge him a career, but he clearly specialises in improving poor sides and elevating them to mediocre.

The ref definitely stopped it for a head injury. You could clearly see him gesturing to that effect when the City players complained about him stopping the play just as Sarce was about to shoot at goal.
But the guy wasn’t knocked unconscious so there’s no reason the ref couldn’t have delayed stopping play for just a few seconds to see whether Sarc would have scored.

There is far too much of this blatant dark arts in the game, with referees that are not fit to take charge of an under 10’s game

Cook scored zero in the league this season. His goals were in meaningless cup games. Sorry, he would have done absolutely no better. Games passed him by and loaning him out was the right thing to do at the time.

wheatley is getting all the starts yet he’s the worst finisher at the club.

Mullin is the best finisher we have that’s fit, yet GA favours Swan and Humphrys more.

Have you ever seen a game where the team winning 1-0 decides to make 4 subs all in one go,
Or one at a time taking 5 minutes
    Bizarre
Ref really wasn't clued up at all

Wasn't it Humphrys who played the only ball that got an actual "WOW" from the crowd? I thought it was, apologies if it was someone else.

That was my thought exactly. They normally, after the initial head treatment, have them stood up with the physio going through concussion protocols asking them questions about the day of the week, who the prime minister is etc. and then tracking the eyes with the finger movement etc......saw none of that......

What's happened to them leaving the pitch at the nearest point too? That rule still exists but choose to ignore it.....

And yet he was an utterly pointless signing. In my eyes another sparks masterclass, a signing to suit fans who were pissed off at the treatment of cook.

Cook couldn't get in the team, not because his legs had gone, not because he can't play league one football, but because the system and style we played at the time didn't suit cook.

And yet we go bring mullin in to replace cook, completely ignoring the fact he is almost a replica of cook
