Maybe if they put it down to a fiver the folk of Bradford wake up :)

Lets not forget the Colchester game last season when a gate of 23k ???? Was achieved a great 4-1 win entertainment the lot ..............yet a week later we played Crewe at home a good 2-0 win the fastest goal in our history the chance to go top and yet all City did was raise the price of a ticket by a fiver ( £10 ) and magically a thousand folk where not willing to pay the price ............seems the good folk of Bradford cannot bear topart with£10 :)

Don’t think you can criticise the support from the people of Bradford our support is tremendous. Going back to even the mid 80s when Trevor Cherrys great side were storming the league we only got a five figure crowd once and that was the fateful last game of the season, it’s remarkable how our support has grown. We’ve certainly had a few crowds around the 20 thousands mark at full price this season.

Referee: James Oldham has taken charge of one City game this season, their 5-1 win over Everton Under-21s in the EFL Trophy, so more of the same please.

He gave out nine yellow cards that night, so the players might want to be extra-careful going into tackles.

I remember as a teenager in the early 90s? looking forward to the Burnley games as we always seemed to get a five figure crowd. The rest of the time it was between 6,500 and 8,500.

It kinda defies logic based on my 40 odd years watching us. Most of the time it's been pretty uncool to follow Bradford City, quite a niche following a lot of the time. The numbers we pull now are ridiculous, almost all down to the great management of Phil Parkinson and Graham Alexander than anything.else.

Manningham area currently suffering power outages, no word from club, but could affect tonight’s game

Stuart McCall as manager was probably the catalyst though, I feel he at least deserves some credit as his pull alone instantly bumped up the numbers.

Oh, and Big Geoff. Without him none of this would be possible. What a guy!

As long as we restrict shots on target we should be able to scrape a draw

Town's home form will see them through to the play offs in my opinion, much like us really. Indeed, Town have a much longer unbeaten run at home than us stretching back 5 months now, no matter how they are playing.

It wouldnt surprise me to see them beat Lincoln tonight.

Starting 11 and bench unchanged again. I can understand keeping faith with the same 11 but for me on the bench Lapslie should be on it in place of Swan as I don't think we need 3 strikers on the bench.

City Fans: FFS Alexander, they're knackered, bring in some fresh legs!

I put it down to three generations of success, obviously punctuated by a spiral downwards following each era; 2 of those 3 downfalls admittedly reaching an alarming stage.
For example, my first game came in 1992 and by the late 90s I had the old man calling me a lucky bugger having come along for the clubs most successful period, ever.
I for one was hooked completely after that 90s - early 00's era and if I had kiddies of my own, they'd be sat alongside me just as some of my other friends bring their young uns.
Ultimately, I believe its those mid to late 80s era (the birth of Bantam progressivism!), mid to late 90s as mentioned followed by the remarkable achievements of PP (and the successful return of NO. 4. GOD) in the 13-16 era. All these new generations of young City supporters witnessed remarkable things happen at VP which have burned their ways into the memories of each follower to the point that ad I mentioned, got them hooked foe life.
That's the main reason I believe. Look around at an average home game and you'll see a healthy mix of ages in each fan.. From 6 to 80+ we've got fans, all whose passion and Love for our great club stemming from those aforementioned periods of success.
Here's to hoping this present era continues to present any young newcomers with the early memories the rest of us share!
