Absolute carnage and the best bit is that it's all completely unnecessary!

Surely not? So the club is more than happy to upset not just one set of home supporters in 1 stand but another set in a different stand?

Is there any other club who would treat it's home supporters like this, I very much doubt it.

Replied to Paula's email on Saturday with very similar questions as to the people above.
    No reply.

For the club to issue such an email clearly there's been lots of anger and frustration sent to them by us Midland Roaders.

I'm hoping they announce the lower kop is also unreserved on those days. It'll be like one huge away end with people falling out in lumps!

WTF!!!!! I'm in E block main stand. B#ll#cks to that.

Joking apart, how can that work? There are very few seats in E block not already taken by season ticket holders

    Don’t care.

I’m in Block B main stand.

Can’t wait to sit in my normal seat watching the carnage in C,D & E blocks.

it will be better than the match.

There's an 'easy' answer for the Club, if there is an occasional match that requires them to move those in Midland Road block E, and that is to offer all season ticket holders in block E a secondary 'allocated' seat in the upper rows of the North West Corner.

Not a perfect solution, I admit but, as those seats in the North West Corner are not made available for season tickets, it is a very straightforward solution, that impacts as few people as possible.

That said, it isn't easy for any of us to put forward ideas, when we don't fully understand what the Club is trying to achieve and the constraints (safety, policing/stewarding) that the Club will have to operate within.

Logic suggests that, as our home attendances are growing, the Club are planning to limit away allocations to the minimum allowed (2,000 for League matches; more for cup matches) but, until the Club reveals more, we don't know for certain.

No club which respects its own loyal fans would do that. It would be on a par with the club giving away the entirety of the MR stand to the away supporters in a play-off game we needed to win. As if they'd do that!

    Oh wait ....

Sounds feasible on the occasions where MR are moved. Get to the ground and in your seat early if you want your usual spot.
It was unreserved at Wigan with 4600 fans there. It worked.

I must be missing something. Let's say for arguments sake Block E in the main stand has 1000 seats, 950 of which belong to season ticket holders. We then get 300 refugeess from the Midland road so potentially 1250 people fighting for 1000 seats???

Or put away fans in NW corner. Yes I know they tried it with Man U 25 years ago but they didn’t segregate properly on that occasion.

You’re missing the critical bit that there’s normally more than 300 empty seats in the main stand. Take a look tonight it will be closer to 1000. I’ll take you a photo at 7.50pm

The simplest solution would still be to accommodate away fans in the TL Dallas stand and in addition, retain blocks F & G in the MR for them. In total that would far exceed the 2,000 away seats required by the EFL
