Article 46 Retention of supporters in the stadium
46.01

If the police commander for the match or the safety and security officer decides that, for security reasons, a group of supporters should be retained within the stadium while other supporters disperse, whenever possible this decision should be communicated to the visiting association or club in advance so that the information can be conveyed to their supporters. In any case:

1. the decision to retain a group of supporters must be announced over the public address system in the language of the supporter group concerned;
   
   
2. the announcement must be repeated shortly before the end of the match;
   
   
3. the match organiser must ensure that, during this period of retention, the retained supporters have access to refreshments and sanitary facilities;
   
   
4. if possible, the retained supporters shall be entertained (music, video scoreboard, etc.), to help the waiting time pass more quickly and keep them calm;
   
   
5. they must be informed regularly of how much longer they may have to wait before being allowed to leave the stadium.
   

 

Well I do not think they complied on 3 , 4 and 5
And if the intention is to hold back then it should Be announced when tickets go on sale, not during the game as people have other things on in their lives and any delay in leaving could have a major knock on effect
As we all know though, every single football fans is a single cell amoeba according to those who must be obeyed

 

I left the ground at 80 minutes having been to Wigan before, the delay in getting out of the car park is always horrendous and I had no intention of being caught up in it.


I do agree with every word of your reply. The Greater Manchester Police, Wigan Athletic and Bradford City will do nothing to ensure the Bradford City Supporters receive an apology and assurances that it will not happen in the future.

It always seems strange that Lapslie is on the bench, comes on and does "ok", and then the next game he isn't even in the matchday squad.

 

This sounds like an over-simplification but - when we're on form and playing well, we can beat anyone. The reason we aren't in the top two is because we're not as consistent as Lincoln/Cardiff. But when we're not playing well, we are honking.

We have to hope that we can string 3 good performances together in the play-offs which may be a stretch for us on recent evidence.

 

He's never let us down and has actually a hell of a lot of good when played.

Generally I have very little time for the police these days, saying that I also know the lack of intelligence amongst a large section of our fan base, put together with incompetent police and you see what we saw on Saturday.

 

My youngest lad had a taxi booked from the pub on the retail park to take him back to the station so he could get his train back to university at Lancaster as he had something on that evening. Luckily the taxi driver hung around and he just made his train.....

This giving Sarcs a rest would be ok if we had Lapsle a natural replacement available but even with the amount of subs allowed he cannot get near the team. Its a bizzare situation where his natural replacement to give him a rest is ignored.

 

He was ineffective, sorry I try and tell ift as I see it, Alexander must have thought he had something to offer giving him 45+ minutes, I also said in my post I though both Mullin and Humphrys who Alexander also brought on offered little.
