I'm not accusing you of questioning my loyalty what Im saying is if you occasionally want a drink then upgrade to a seat that allows you to use the Bantans Bar prior to the game, sorted ?.

No, I drink elsewhere normally before the game, if I want to upgrade then it’s usually for midweek winter games on a match by match basis but because the Bantams bar is ‘sold out’ I’m not able to do so.
I’ll say again, I want the club to bring in measures to free up unused seats so that someone else can use them.

What would it cost to upgrade, would it be worth it for the midweek games ?, Im far from happy with the cost of our suite upgrade but unfortunatly it comes as a package, I do think youll have a long wait for the club to introduce what your saying, especially when we still have a thousands of seats not sold.
    Thanks for the explanation.

If you're so sure, let's have a burns unit bet.

I'm in E block of the MR stand and £50 says I won't have to move for a single league game next season. Also happy to lower the amount if you'd prefer?

The cost would be £219 extra each but It’s not even possible to upgrade because it’s ’sold out’

imagine going to your favourite pub and the best table near the open fire next to the tv always has a reserved sign on it despite nobody ever sitting there. Despite asking the landlord if you can sit there the answer is always no, and off you go to back of the pub where it’s cold and you can’t see the TV.
Stupid analogy I know but you get my drift.

Why would the club incur costs of installing another gate if they have no intention of ever using it?
For cup games where a large away following is expected then surely they’d just give them the entire stand? No need for a gate?

If you went to your ‘favourite’ pub and someone had paid £219 to reserve the table, then l guess you have to accept it.
If they don't show up, the pub still gets the money.
I often go to restaurants which ask for your credit card details and will charge your card if you ‘don’t show’.

Have they installed another gate on Midland Road? Anyway, I think the entire E block should be given to away fans. Some big clubs in L1, even more if we go up and thats extra income if our fans cant fill it.

And yeh, cup games we give big away following the entire stand.

I think that's the point though isn't it? In the bigger games we have been pretty much filling it.

I've just had an email from the club basically saying the same as this. Looks like they've got fed up of people asking the same questions so they've emailed all the season ticket holders in the MR

    The email in full:

We are writing to update you on some recent operational changes within the Bradford Lifts Stand (East Stand).

A second segregation gate has now been installed in the Bradford Lifts Stand. This addition will allow us greater flexibility when managing away supporter allocations, ensuring we can respond effectively to varying match requirements.

We want to reassure you that:

    - There are no plans to convert any East Stand blocks into an away‑supporter‑only area.

    - Any adjustment to the segregation line would be made only in exceptional circumstances, and never as standard practice.

    - Should any change ever affect your seating area, you would be contacted well in advance, and we would work with you to ensure suitable alternative seating.

We hope this provides clarity and reassurance as we continue to make improvements aimed at enhancing matchday operations and the supporter experience. Season ticket terms and conditions are linked below.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

'Suitable alternative seating' when we already have the best seats in the ground.
Row ZZ in the kop doesn't cut it.
'Enhancing the supporter experience', corporate bollockspeak.

It's not an exact analogy, but if the restaurant had a walk in half an hour after your no-show, they would get your table. It wouldn't have a reserved sign on it for the rest of the night.

That sounds like an excellent suggestion to make to the Club. At the moment it sounds like the Club are only planning to use "ticket exchange" for matches with high demand but, as the suites are sold out on season tickets, allowing suite season ticket holders to also put their "seats" up for resale, for all league matches, would allow people like you to get access to the suites on an ad hoc basis. You win and the Club wins.

    Suggest it to the Club.

Sounds like airline speak. Their get out of jail free card is always ‘exceptional circumstances’
I’m on your side btw, I don’t think they should move ST holders unless comparable alternate seating can be found for the 500 or so fans affected.

Yes exactly. Like I say not an exact analogy but it feels like the club are missing an opportunity. It does sound like they are making an attempt to address it. I'm not sure how best to make it work but I do get @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam 's frustration. It's a win win. The club gets a little extra revenue and @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam gets a couple of pints in the warm :)

I've been in the Bantams bar and I really don't feel like anyone is missing out if they can't get a ticket. It's honestly more comfortable in any of the concourses.

A friend of mine, also a season ticket holder in the MR, sent Ryan and Paula a lengthy email expressing his concerns about the rumour of moving ST holders in some of the blocks in the the Midland Road stand for some games to other areas of VP. It was rumnoured that that was to accommodate away fans in what are some of the best viewing parts of VP. I think he also copied his email to the Supporters Trust and the Supporters Board.

He asked 3 specific questions ..

    1. Why hadn't season tickets holders been informed about these proposals at the start of the ST renewal period in case it affected their purchasing decision.

    2. What are the 'exceptional' circumstances which would necessitate such a change to inform the ST holders so they can reflect that before buying their season tickets?

    3. How would the club organise the move so that ST holders in those areas weren't disadvantaged from moving from the blocks with great viewing areas to those areas with less appeal particularly those who sit together as friends and families.

I suppose that the latest email addresses Q1 in part since the club has now informed all ST holders of their plans rather than leave it to the Supporters Trust and Supporters Board to spread the word. It would have been better and might have reduced some of the speculation if the club had had the balls to deal with this initially rather than leave it to the two supporters bodies.

Q2 has not been answered other than to say it won't be 'standard practice' to do this. It leaves open the issue of what is 'non-standard practice' when it will be used.

Q3 has not been answered other than to say that the club will work with the many hundreds of fans impacted by the change in their seating to ensure thay have 'suitable alternative seating' however that is being defined.

The 'operational update' as circulated underestimates the impact on our loyal fans many of whom have been watching City from their chosen seats for a couple of decades, a lot longer than all of the senior people at the club who made these decisions. The update is short of some very important detail. The club is really saying 'trust us' without being able to say when will the new arrangement be used and how will those affected be dealt with so that they aren't disadvantaged. It appears to me that some ST fans in the MR will be moved on some occasions to other parts of the ground, not currently occupied by other ST holders to accommodate some more away fans. I still fail to understad that if the club wishes to have more away fans in the ground, it doesn't simply house them in the TL Dallas stand. It illustrates how the club really feels about some of its fans when it places the needs of extra away fans higher than those of our own fans.

The club might well have hoped that an 'operational update' which is short of the important details would help to downplay the impact on some fans and have closed down any discussion. I suspect that it won't do that and this discussion will continue for the foreseeable future.
