Because keepers are so bloody big these days with limbs like basket ballers . By the time players go round them they have gone really really wide? . It’s no longer done much in world football either .

 

Our coaches should be training him on various tactics to score, including dribbling around or shooting early. The benefit of going around is a good chance he could bring you down and get a penalty... so double bubble there.

 

The only thing that worries me is the kid may stop believing in his own ability and starts looking for an assist instead of going for goal himself.
At the moment IMO the only player that could be a possible starter in that role apart from Wheatley is Swan, I hope Alexander has given up on shoe horning Humphry into that position, and although Mullins hasn't had a lot of game time for us I'd prefer him to be coming on like he has recently if for no other reason he'll keep the opposition defenders on their toes, I still believe Alexander will starter Wheatley at Wigan tommorow.

This lad as a striker should have at least 5 goals, the chances he has had , but is yet to score
I think we have enough about us to reach the playoffs, which is a good achievement on our return to league 1 , unfortunately I don’t think we have enough to win them and I fear falling back next season
The January recruitment looks poorer as the games go on for me
Only Jackson looks anywhere near the required level

We had 7 shots yesterday two on target of which Wheatley got one, maybe we need to be asking the questions of all our so called strikers, I honestly can't remember who the other player was that had his effort was on target it was that mundane, perhaps someone can jog my memory ?.

I've no doubt if Jackson hadn't have had his injury he would have been a regular starter as our lone striker.

 

Jackson is our only chance in those playoffs.
