Try the generic e.mail. keep resending until you get a response hello@bradfordcityafc.com
The Supporters Board, https://www.supportersboard.com/ don't seem to actually want to represent ordinary supporters. Like you l have sent them messages and never had an acknowledgement never mind a reply. They seem to be aloof, remote from ordinary fans.
The Supporters Trust do respond and have suggested that they will raise issues.https://www.bantamstrust.co.uk/ Good luck. Keep us updated.

When Midland Road was opened in 1997 away fans were in block E.

They've also been in the North West corner (Man United), blocks A and B of the main stand (Ipswich), the upper tier of the main stand (Portsmouth), the whole of the Bradford End, and the entire Midland Road stand.

    What's your point?

I think the point is that if we need to or want to increase the away allocation then block E in MR is the obvious location as it was in 1996/97 when it opened.

I think the only need arises when we have to give more than 10% e.g. FA Cup games. Otherwise the current set-up is more than sufficient.

In terms of want, I can't really envisage a situation unless we turn awful again and somehow have a big team visit us in the league. Even then, that would only be for commercial reasons.

EFL rules state 2k tickets to the opposition or 10% if total capacity is below 20k. Therefore, I'd have presumed we'd have built the new MR gate further along to give the option of fewer tickets to away fans, not more?

I think a bit more clarity from the club would help here
What is the actual intention . Flexibility to allow more home or away supporters, or both on an ad hoc basis
As i said in an earlier post, further progress could start to test the capacity at VP and we don't currently have the money or even the space to expand, why would we when the pension fund own the stadium and all that would do is increase their wealth at no cost to them, they already have us other a barrel.

One possible solution would be to increase the capacity of the Bradford End TL Dallas Stand. The number of seats is given as 1664, so 336 short of 2,000. Block LE now has no seats in it. If they were to be replaced, then it could potentially hold around 100.
If the stand were then to be extended towards the Midland Road, where the current scoreboard is located, it could potentially allow a new upper and lower block. The current upper block appears to have 9 rows and the lower blocks 8. So an extension with a width of 14 or 15 seats should be sufficient to satisfy the 2,000 rule.
If the club were to put a new roof, to align the structure, the upper block could possibly have the supporting steel columns removed and the scoreboard incorporated into the roof structure.
Yes there would be cost, and l anticipate deep piling, but surely that would be a far more affordable solution, and also allow the club to grow home support if necessary.
I guess the club wants the extra seats, as if they get into the Championship they will probably sell out the current away capacity say for 80%+ of the matches.
This option if viable would be cheaper than building a whole new stand.
It may well be that some on here who work in construction/building will have some idea of the potential costs. But l always understood that a third of a project was the cost of the land, and a revamped stand would not include many costly fittings of a residential or commercial building.
Trying to think out of the box, l understand the concerns of Midland Road Season Ticket holders.

Promotion and being a stable championship club and we might well see a waiting list for season tickets.

I think you've totally missed the point.

If we're selling out the ground on certain match days, why on earth would we want to make more room for away fans?

I can only think there is some safety reasons why we didn't get seats added to them when the TL Dallas seats were replaced a couple of seasons ago or even added them since then. It wouldn't take many games of them being used for them to pay for themselves, even in league 1 we are certain of at least 2 or 3 sell outs in that stand per season, in the Championship it will be more like 2 or 3 where they don't get used.

I don’t know. It must be a logistical nightmare having away fans in both MR and Dallas stands.
If away fans are in TL Dallas, do they close access towards Valley Parade after the match to prevent fans mixing?

They took the seats away nearest to the tunnel to protect the players and officials.
The stand cannot be extended towards MR I believe because the road is too narrow and foundations not suitable otherwise why wouldn’t they have built it in full from the start?
How many MR season ticket holders are actually affected by this potential change? Only half of E block is used by our fans anyway because of the segregation. Just give away fans the whole of E block and install a smaller segregation barrier similar to what’s at Huddersfield.

They sometimes close access. I believe it depends on the Intel police have received about potential trouble although it's not very consistent and I think it's only been closed on the odd occasion this year.

Again, I'll ask the same question.

Why do you believe the club wants to increase the capacity for away fans given we already give them around 800 tickets more than we need to when complying with the regulations?

It is now over 40 years since the design and subsequent construction of the TL Dallas stand. Techniques and capability has moved on. So what was possible then, may well have been superseded. Piling could be used to anchor foundations to the parent rock. Not sure the road is too narrow, but they could potentially cantilever over it. There are no houses at that section of the Holywell Ash Lane.

You suggested that, ‘They took the seats away nearest to the tunnel to protect the players and officials’.
    • They have introduced a retractable canopy which extends to the pitch. That would shield players and officials.
    • They could place a screen, similar to those used in shopping malls. High grade and shatter proof.
    • At the start of the match and return after half time, the guests could enter the pitch on the right hand side.
    • They still have seats in UK which is above the LE, so no concerns that supporters could behave badly from there (missiles and flem).

Now emailed Ryan (Ryan.Sparks@BradfordCityFC.co.uk) - is that correct?

    Still nothing from Paula.
