Agreed, few and far between thankfully otherwise we wouldn’t be in the position we are in?

 

At what level though? a 1 in 4 at L1 is different to a 1 in 4 at CH level. We have enough 1 in 4 strikers on our books - as we have had for the last 20+ years!

He is currently a 1 in 10 at L1 level. We need to do better, Sarcevic and Pointon will only paper over the cracks for so long.

 

The lads just gone twenty the goals will come with experience he has everything he needs to make a very good forward he adds physicality and aggression to our front line

 

Like I said, all that huff and puff and missing chances is fine after a win, the mood is very different if it costs us points.

He did well last night, but his finishing has to improve for me. We are chasing promotion, its a golden opportunity and there are fine margins. We wont be playing a knackered bottom of the league team every week, going to be some tough teams in the play offs where missed chances are going to matter.

At this stage its impossible to predict how high up the ladder he can go. All I'm saying is that given his other attributes -pace, leading the line and the fact that he is still raw and young with time to improve, that if he were to become a 1 in 4 man, then in the right team he could be an asset. For now, I think thats the target he needs to set for himself whilst continuing to work as hard at the rest of his game.
I've seen enough to feel that he's worth persevering with.

So to answer my own question from last night.
We have never had the home leg second in our 6 play off campaigns Middlesborough lost , Blackpool won, what a night, Burton won, promoted on both occasions, Millwall draw after home defeat, Fleetwood draw, losing to the neanderthals at wembley, Carlisle timid defeat.

 

They have just gotten their latest 'video diary' from Nagle and cohort..

I wonder how they like Nagle's Claret and Amber decor?

 

Is he/she saying that they can’t play and win PV and the mighty dogs and the are that poor they can’t tackle a bottom of the table team without a few injuries and red cards You couldn’t make it up….

Yes. You aren't in the top 6 all season and clear in 4th at this stage if you don't have some players of real quality.
