Yep Power had a go at the ref as he passed him . The amount of that today though says a lot about the refs performance. Very frustrating.

This is the only replay I can find it's not not a great clip. But I don't think it's high, I think he pulls out. There's a body impact, and it's late, but it's not excessive in terms of force, it's not dangerous or high. I don't think it's a nailed on yellow, and generally for 2nd yellows I think the games better if challenges like this sit just on the side of not being given as yellows.

I don't think Baldwins was a red but I can understand why it was given based on the laws of the game.

I've seen many worse obvious big calls going the wrong way from refs over the years. He was poor and lost a bit of control, but I don't think it was as bad a performance as is being made out. Maybe that's because I wasn't in the ground and didn't feel the same sense of emotion as those that were, but then I generally think watching it on a video feed gives better angles and the chance to see replays.

Main thing being the players found a way to win the game in trying circumstances, which is to their credit.

It’s clear that most of the City players were completely perplexed and incensed at some of the bizarre decisions, hence we got several yellow cards for dissent from extremely frustrated players.

It’s not quite as bad as I thought it was in real time. But it’s late, and it’s a deliberate body check with no attempt at playing the ball. Definitely a yellow in my book.

I don't normally disagree with you mate but unfortunately I'm gonna have to on this one. I'm not one to bag referees but I'll make an exception for this guy, he was terrible.

No he doesn’t. Tilt clears the ball and then Koroma crashes into him.

Fair enough Rog, all about opinions! 3 points is all that matters, so at least we're not bemoaning a ref that cost us points.

We could have been though and it should never get to that point. His refusal to give a second yellow for a blatant yellow and missing the glaringly shove on Sarcevic set the tone for the game.

I thought it was a good performance today and we more than deserved the points. Our lack of a killer instinct nearly cost us again and we really need to kill teams off when we're dominant. But we created plenty against a woeful side who offered nothing.

Interesting to read comments on Wheatley. He has something for sure and some of his link up play is good at times, but at the same time I watch him and feel like we need more. Problem is, I'm not sure we have more. Humphrys again impressing off the left and Mullin just isn't it, despite some bizarre admiration for his 'aggressive play'. I like Swan so when he's fit he could come in, but until then I'd stick with Wheatley.

Thing is mate, we don't need potential at the moment, we don't have time to wait, we need experience and nous up front.

The last City player to be sent off before today was Aiden Baldwin at Doncaster last April !

Agree, Clearly played the ball. I don’t the rules well enough - was there any explanation from the officials for exactly what it was given for?

There was a free kick given against Metcalfe in the second half where I thought he brilliant tackled their player from side/behind. Player fell over with the rhythm of the body contact = free kick. I am genuinely am lost on the rules today.

Reminded me of the embarassment of the McCall era short corners they were consistantly bad and usually were more a help to the opposition than us

Strong performance today by a team playing against the opposition and a woeful officiating trio.
Where do they dig up these jokers.
Interpretation of the rules seems to be out of control and so inconsistent these days with blatant time wasting top of the list going unpunished..
Since when did wrapping your arms around a players upper body and neck literally stopping him dead in is tracks constitute allowing play to continue more than one occasion today without a free kick or caution insight.
The icing on the cake brandishing a Red card which was nothing more than a theatrical statement from a pantomime villain.
    Absolutely pathetic.
