Absolutely fantastic achievement by Lincoln and deservedly looking like promotion certainties

 

To put it into context, teams are told where their respective budgets are by the EFL. According to Sparks we are 12th and according to their equivalent Lincoln are 18th. Despite having a rich benefactor their are well run and don’t throw money around like some perceive. Their manager has worked miracles with them and if he gets a bigger job it’ll be well earned.

I thought I would have a go at predicting the results of the teams in and around the play off race, before doing it I thought 72 would be enough and the prediction has it just above that excluding our results. I do think Wednesday night it massive as it can give us a bit of belief back away from home and it takes a little pressure off. Get a win and it leaves us needing around 10 points from the last 10.

I saw the first half of Huddersfield's game and the crowd was getting toxic even after 30 minutes and they've got some very tough games, after next Saturday against Port Vale 6 of their next 7 games are against top 10 sides.

 

Yes, it was half empty and ironic cheers on 60 minutes and then chants of "We've had a shot, we've had a shot..."

In fairness, Rotherham did score the Huddersfield goal

 

After about 35 minutes they were sarcastically oleing passes around the back. It sounds like they've gone back to the early season style of a lot of passes and very few chances. Today they only managed 6 shots with 2 on target and the first shot on target didn't come until the 2nd half.

 

I wouldn't know what the reaction is on their forum....completely banned!!

Huddersfield and Stockport could drop out of the top 6 tonight if Reading and Stevenage win. If this was to happen, gap between us and 7th would be cut to 5 points.

 

It'll be back to a 7 point gap tomorrow..

 

I don’t know their ins and outs, but that’s become a standard fee even at this level especially if they have a habit of selling players on.

 

This what makes tomorrow night so big for me, if that happens and we can get the gap back to 8 points then we are in a very good position with 10 games left and you are asking the teams behind to do a lot to catch us.

• Stockport will have 2 games in hand but they are only worth something if you win them and it will be a busy schedule with 12 league games and Trophy final in 7 weeks. They have Lincoln, Luton, Wycombe and Bolton still to play
• Huddersfield seem to be on another crisis and after Saturday 6 of the next 7 are against top 10 sides
• Reading have still got the top 2 to play plus Plymouth, Stevenage and a trip to Huddersfield
• Stevenage have a tough end to March with trips to Plymouth and Bolton and hosting Reading in between then in April they have to come to us and play Lincoln.

Even if we pick up 10 points from the last 10 that's asking a couple of them to pick up around 18 points which won't be easy for them

 

Some very tough fixtures for Reading and Stevenage, who I think will be fighting Huddersfield for that 6th spot.
