    • Ground reconfiguration for away fans - couple of options being looked at. 1) moving the segregation line in Midland Road presumably to make that section 2,000. 2) Reversing the home and away fans like the Carlisle game
This is from the latest supporters board meeting.
Either of these options gives away fans prime seats on the halfway line doesn’t it?

Smart idea. I believe the laws are either 10% capacity or 2000, whichever is lower. So we only need to give 2000 I believe. We don't owe other clubs anything with regards to giving more tickets.

If we're in league 1 I don't think it's needed as much and we can't be looking at it for next season because as far as I'm aware season ticket holders in Midland Road haven't been contacted about it.

The current 2 blocks for away fans is just under 1,200 and on average each block is about 650 so that would mean we will need to give 3.5 blocks to get to the 2,000. If that was to happen it would mean the supporters in Block E and D would have to move leaving home fans in A,B & C.
I'd say this is the best solution as it will help with policing as well, having away fans next to the Kop would be asking for trouble so I can only see that increasing costs. It also means that we can have home fans behind both goals.

In an ideal world we'd build a corner stand between the TL Dallas and Midland Road stand which holds 500 or 800 then we give them the 2 blocks or TL Dallas and that section.

The report of the last Supporters Trust's meeting with the Club stated that the Club are "planning on installing a second segregation gate in the Midland Road stand, for greater flexibility."

Yeah, I'd love to give up my prime seat in the Midland Road too sit in the fantastic TL Dallas stand. I'm sure everyone else in the blocks around me would agree.

I mean, when we've tried that stand as a home end in the past it's been a roaring success!

Block D is THE best block in the entire ground (personal opinion) so why would the club give this to away fans?
The view you get of the pitch is superb.

People in and around us have been in that block & seat since it opened.
You’d have a hard time convincing anyone in blocks D & E to move.

Certainly this is the first I’ve heard of a such a move.

Personally i'd rather look the other way then you don't see the half finished stand and the god awful office block and dressing rooms in the corner.

For one off cup or play off games I've been more than happy to move and support the club to maximise income but I can't say that I'd support a permenant move, especially if the TL Dallas stand is being suggested as an alternative.

Exactly! Begrudgingly we’ve moved for such games and that’s fair enough but to move forever?

It isn’t “just a seat” it’s the friendships we’ve built up over 34 years.

What’s more frustrating is you’re giving away fans prime seats in the stadium too.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing what we’ve always done which is the 2 end blocks and then overflow Bradford End. So why change it?

What if they are looking at the segregation for just one (the end) block, or is that already in place?
That way they can give the TL Dallas and one block in the Modland Road, rather than two, thus generating another 650 or whatever seats for home fans

If I remember rightly we’ve had a few instances of away fans getting Block E or at least a part of Block E which meant anyone in E from a City point of view had to move.

That's how I read the situation regarding the extra gate. Perhaps I'm wrong but that would allow the club a huge amount of flexibility with different capacities depending on demand.

Wondering if it’s something like Town have got perhaps where you can move the segregation depending on how many tickets allocated?

There is a bit that does not have a roof, just give them that. Are we crowdfunding this. Gibb would love it, increasing the pension fund worth even more and it won't cost him a penny.
Seriously though , it does need looking at, especially if we do find ourselves up another division, we will need to maximise as much revenue as possible.
The Braford end is often empty , so 1500 seats, there are 500 uncovered in the main stand block A and 500 along the 3 rows at the front of the kop.
2500 seats that could be used with a bit of re organisation.

Maybe we could negotiate that into our next 25 year lease with Gibbs paying for the required work doing.

On the ball there Dave. Best part of £2-3 m I bet though that’s if it’s possible due to Holywell Ash lane/ Terracing narrowing at the bottom!?

1,644 is what the official website says is the capacity of the Bradford End. If that is the case give them that stand and just the 1 block in the Midland Road stand and give teams the bare minimum for games to meet the 2k we have to give out.

Then open the Bradford End every game and use the end block in Midland Road as freebies or community tickets as and when Burton, Exeter, etc come across and don't fill the away end.

If they have the setup like it was v Carlisle, the bottom left Kop block would be carnage again, like it has been in the past (leeds for example).

It was only tongue in cheek mate, but your right the logistics could be a problem and costly.
