I was also wondering how much of the resold ticket value I will get credited back to my club account?

Mmmm. Just the warm feeling you get from knowing that you're helping the club in making a few extra quid from your generosity! ;)

I think for me it's a bit soon and we don't sell out enough to justify it.

But also the concern is how many games are compulsory? I do 90% of games. My daughter who is 10 does about 70% due to being 10 and night matches not in school holiday are just out of reach for now.

I also miss a fair chunk of games due to working shifts. This is definitely a question I'd like an answer to.

I think PL sides do it because the big clubs all have ST waiting lists, but more importantly have International sales markets thay make them way way more money on thay resale.

We obviously aren't anywhere near that level, so hopefully we dont have a strict compulsory target. I think at Liverpool now they have a 3 strikes thing for missed games where your ST gets revoked, similar at United and Chelsea bit I think theres might be more than 3 games missed without selling your ticket back to the club. We probably have a good 6 or 7 thousand fans that miss most Tuesday night games, there would be a lot in danger if we did something as daft as that!

Life throws up a number of unexpected events.
    What happens if:
    • You become ill
    • Your car breaks down
    • The bus or train doesn’t turn up
    • There is a family crisis
    • You are called into work, or if at work unexpected issues crop up.
    • You literally forget/get dates mixed up
    Life isn’t necessarily straight forward.

Until we have a waiting list, then any scheme for notification should be a voluntary one.

There is no mention of a cash refund, so no positive incentive.

Any compulsory element is likely to upset supporters, especially those who turn up infrequently, yet pay the money.

What sanctions would the club impose, if someone doesn’t inform them that they are not attending?

How long before the match would you have to notify the club? Two weeks, a week, the Monday before a weekend game, the day of the match, 2.59pm?

Having to complete some form each and every time you are planning not to attend, is a huge chore.

This could lead to some calling it quits and cease buying a Season Ticket.

My best guess, based on the snippets of information we've had from the Club so far, is that there may be some sort of minimum "attendance" required for season ticket holders and that "attendance" will be either attending a match in person or releasing your ticket for that match back to the Club. It also looks like you will receive your loyalty points in either scenario.

I suspect, intitially, the minimum "attendance" level will be set quite low (e.g. 8 matches), but it may well rise in future seasons, especially if we move up a division or two.

Just ask the kid in the turnstile to scan two tickets when you go in

If they are going to enforce this then they need to ensure that tickets are correctly scanned.

I’ve seen occasions where genuine tickets haven’t
scanned properly and to avoid a scene the young kid on the turnstiles has just let the person in.

If it worked the same way as the current West Ham system (which is Ticketmaster based with some bespoke features) the most people would probably accept it.

That's encouraging to hear if our future arrangement is similar to that of the taxpayers' tenants at London Stadium. Our club is also held to ransom by TM so there might well be some lessons to be learned from them.

The whole re-selling market is based on incentives to encourage you to inform them if can't attend ie you get a partial credit of the ST, from memory its approx 4.8% which is credited to your "Club Cash Account" which can be spent 30% on food, drinks etc, 30% in club shop in person or online, 20% on match day tickets for cup games and 20% on ST renewals.
