We really are pathetic on the road....an absolute shambles in injury time and once again we struggle at the other end to put the game to bed due to the shite we have collected up top.

 

An average keeper would have come out to collect that but no.. he stays rooted to the spot

 

I am done with Mr Alexander and his negative

He is holding us back with his need to tinker in games and match to match
Any credit he had for getting us where we are , he has blown
Is that 8 defeats in 9 away from home and how many on the bounce
If we reach the playoffs, we have no chance with this guy and his away day nightmares

 

Nothing to do with who we are playing. He’s brought a defender on protecting a lead a fair few times and it puts us under pressure. We usually get away with it but they offered nothing all game, it was criminal to not go for the second against such a poor team.

 

That's a shame, we deserved so much more from today, injury to Baldwin didn't help, sorry for the lads today ...

Don't we have more away games than home games left? We dont deserve play offs. Good season overall but wow what an opportunity missed.

 

Sounds like Matt Ritchie changed it for them. Whereas our substitution of pointon for Wright totally backfired.

Basic errors and not defending the box properly. Piss poor and it's on Pennington and whoever got bullied in the middle for the second.

You’re almost telling the opposition that you’re happy to defend and invite pressure.

We looked comfortable up to then but psychologically it’s a very negative thing to do.

 

Only us can bring a defender on and let 2 goals in

 

A much better away performance BUT we didn’t make their keeper work enough. Reading defended well and took their 2 chances. One as a result of a poor header from Pennington, and an excellent header for the second. We looked weak up front all game really. Wheatley is poor, and forward passes and crosses were poor too.

Frustrating afternoon. Reading deserved it for sticking at it.

Not really......he scored the header and that was about it....

 

Jeez how do you begin to sum that up? A really poor game even before Reading scored, yet another game where we created little to nothing at all. Even the goal was a bit fortuitous, keeper getting out of the way of Pennington's shot.
Today does show how important Baldwin is to the team, with him on we never looked like conceding.
Away from home is now a real problem, should be nailed on for a playoff spot but means our home form is gonna have to hold up.

Also I gave the January new boys a few weeks to settle in.every one of them currently looks a complete waste of a wage and have not improved the squad at all
