Recommended New TV/Films

Just put it on now and onto the second episode. Very good writing so far around Michael Palin's character and his dementia

 

Been watching Absentia last couple of weeks. Just 3 episodes of the 3rd season left to watch.

If you like dark and intense thrillers, check it out.

Series 3 was a slow burner, and I thought each series got better as it progressed.

Stana Katic is wonderful in this. She plays a very intense female character brilliantly.

It was getting big licks in the reviews I've read, having watched it, I'm now giving it big licks. Great TV

 

Sweetpea. Stars the girl from Fallout which has just finished. Very good, and if you enjoyed Dexter, it’s well worth a watch. Only 6 episodes, but a new season out shortly.

 

Night Agent is back today

 

Lord of the Flies. Superb cinematography and soundtrack. Excellent acting. Very gripping. Recommended.

 

I went to see Scream 7 the other day and won’t post any spoilers. Enjoyed the first half of the film but overall, if you’re a fan of the original, I probably wouldn’t bother spending your money on it and wait until it’s on a streaming service

 

don’t think I’ve seen any of them yet.

 

The first film is worth a watch in my opinion

TFI FRIDAY back for a run of 6 weeks on channel 4 this friday, probably not as good as the original seeing as comedy has been outlawed by the wokerati but worth a look hopefully...

 

Loved that show back in the day. As you say, expectations should be tempered

Anyone who has seen Brazil in the 70s video, will be fascinated by this.
It tell the story from the Brazilian perspective, not how we of a certain age would remembered it. It covers the political turmoil in the country at the time and how that affected the players and the managers. 5 episodes watched it over 2 nights, very enjoyable
