Exeter tickets go on sale next week. Only 1000 tickets for what might be a must win game.

 

Where’s the burton tickets? Lol

 

I suspect I’ll miss out on Burton. Still, we live in hope.

 

If you purchase a Barnsley away ticket just a heads up you won't receive the actual e tickets till a later date they are on a delayed release.

 

In other words, they want the cash in their bank early (8 weeks) and give you the goods when they want.
5000 x £27 = £135000. They gotta pay Jack Shepherds wages somehow

 

Why do you need the ticket before the day of the game? It'll be emailed to you in plenty of time so I can't really see the issue?

 

looking forward to this one, should be a good day providing the players dont freeze in front of packed out 5,000 strong away end (they shouldnt do mind, given they are addicted to big crowds).

Also the first trip this season where the price of a rail ticket hasn't seemingly been 3 times what the cost of petrol and parking would be , so an even bigger bonus

Don’t think I said it was an issue, but if they can’t supply the ticket so early then why are they selling them so early?
I wonder if we are heading towards a future where all tickets for the entire season being available to buy from day 1? Like you say, it’s a digital ticket that you don’t need before the game and clubs will start to get all their income up front from away fans, many months in advance.

 

I guess technology and the emergence of digital tickets makes it all possible.
Like I say, I think we’re heading towards being able to purchase any ticket for the whole season as soon as the fixtures are released.

 

As I understand it, Ticketmaster hold the money until after the event has taken place. This is certainly true for music and I would guess it carries over into football, where they are involved.

 

To get the money in the bank, like you so rightly said. I watch lots of darts and go all over for it and usually have to buy my tickets for events at least 3 months in advance. It's just how it is these days.

At the end of the day, the tickets on sale doesn't mean that people have to buy them, it just means they are on sale and you have the choice whether to buy them or not although with the caveat that at well supported events, you're risking missing out altogether.

 

That's also the situation with any resale tickets you want to list on the site.
