No idea mate wasn't specifically refering to Bobby
Just trying to find a justifiable reason why any young athlete should be classed as tired and in need of a break
Maybe over training when we play Tuesdays and Saturdays

They don’t train heavily other than light stuff and technical according to GA.

Says here that they train at a high intensity.
Infact he clears up the whole rotation of certain players due to the fixture list and that we’ve made 5-6 changes before and won.
Easy for fans to say we should keep the same XI every game without any knowledge of anything other than Sarcevic and Pointon are two of our better players and can’t be rested and should be flogged until they do get injured.
Seems we a number of experienced EFL managers and highly qualified medical staff on this forum who should be advising Alexander on how to pick a team.

Ignores that it is mainly the lower teams making the most changes, you’re likely to make more changes when not winning. The top teams rotate less for a reason.

I think you might be over forgiving with GA and the late bus. I catch buses. Maybe i am a worrier but I like to be sure I get to where I am going on time. I catch an earlier bus if any doubt. But the point is I take an interest.

GA is the Manager of a team setting off for a major game. He will need to be assured he gets this right. Not too early and be waiting about too long but certainly not be stressed by a possible late arrival. It is hard to believe he will not take note of the journey and have a view on the best time of arrival. I reckon being certain the team will be ready to go on the pitch at 3 should be a priority before team selection.

My friend bought train tickets 6 months ago. Cheap and on a particular train for return. This was all put in jeopardy by the late start.

Dull pink is not a proper football kit.

Yesterday was a really poor day for the club, paticularly coming off the back of the excellent 2 home games - lets just hope we can rectify it on Tuesday.

Sorry to persist on the quality of our January loanees but just one quick point and one quick question. The recruitment team and Alexander continuously state they will only bring in players that will make the team better - and I know the restrictions we have to contend with.
But of our 6 loanees which of Mullin, Wheatley, Sibley, Evans, White and Ashby would you put into our team in place of the current incumbent? I would suggest it's a very small list

The trouble with our centrebacks is that they are all basically league 2 standard so whatever combination we have they're going to struggle. Individually they have excellent games from time to time but collectively they seldom do.

The situation with regards shuffling the defence around is a concern but I also believe leaving your two leading goal scorers out plus Tyreik Wright who was starting to find a bit of consistent form that he had during his first spell at the club is bound to have an impact on the starting 11.
There was very little creativity yesterday and if nothing else that's what those three offer in games as well as goals, someone posted the stats with and without Sarcevic playing and they were chalk and cheese, we have 14 league games left having a game on Tuesday night and again next Saturday then no midweek game until the following week they are professional athletes who have the odd midweek game to contend with, I wonder at times how as an example top tennis players get through a gruelling fortnights schedule at Wimbledon where their involved every minute of a game, they are under far more physical demands than a professional footballer who may only actually be involved in play for around 50/55 minutes per game ?, watching yesterdays game our front three were rarely in the game first half.

As far as l can see, my post made no reference to squad changes, in January.
The comments made in WOAP looked at the number of recent changes in match day starting 11’s.
    That point l understand.
Consistency, rather than a huge number of changes, is the issue, especially in the defence.
So l am not sure what point you are making?

Did it improve his performance on the pitch Mrs O? If so would you be available to pop round to Ciaran's house on Friday night ;)

    Actually no I don’t think that’s correct.
Starting with Mansfield on New Years Day the away team selections have been baffling. I’d say only the Blackpool game we could say the lineup was the best we could put out and we won that game.
Mansfield - Sarcevic, Swan and Neufville on the bench whilst Kelly, Byrne and Kav started. Baffling.
Huddersfield - No Sarcevic and T Wright left on bench meaning Pointon was ineffective.
Lincoln - Kelly starts again with Baldwin, Neufville and Pointon left on the bench whilst Sarc still out.
Luton - Sarcevic and Pointon both left out.

so I think the theme here is when Sarc, Pointon, Wright, Baldwin, Neufville and Toure are all available, they 100% should all start home or away.

None of them in the line up that Alexander prefers. Only Jackson and he's a permanent signing. For all the new signings, Alexanders gets his best results with his tried and tested eleven. I understand why he tries rotating the squad but in reality the first team pretty much picks itself. Not a sleight on Alexander as such, that eleven has us in 5th place.

Here’s the Cardiff away starting lineup. Replace Leigh with Metcalfe and Swan with Jackson / Mullin and that’s what I’d like to see where possible.

We have to pick the strongest team available every game. We will not win every home game so we have to pick up some points away.
