Can anybody give me an example of when GAs mass changes have worked.

 

It's historic under GA. I wonder thinking forward to next season, we really can't rely on our home form as that will inevitably fall away at home and his continual changes, lack of urgency, leaving one up top exposed will be the downfall of his tenure at City

 

GA dropped a ball by making so many changes. But the players don't get away scott free. That was atrocious. Forget quality on the ball for a sec, we did NONE of the basics or ugly stuff well. Every goal we gave away was a joke - that first one, Jackson doesn't press to stop the cross, Tilt doesn't attack it, neither does Pennington. The 2nd goal was amateur level. And the third comes from a corner that came about from a completely unforced error.

Metcalf can hold his head up. Not a single one of the rest can.

 

Knowing GA, he'd 'rest' a few players for Wembley because they played last Tuesday.

But he doesn't learn does he Bantamshell? He continually messes about with the team on a regular basis.
It's a well known phrase - don't change a winning side.
For me now, all the points that GA has in the bank are now at zero. Mansfield, Lincoln and now today were a masterclass in ripping a team apart.

The buck stops with him most definitely, but there was also a lack of desire, effort and fight from the majority of players out on the pitch too so they also need to be held to account.

 

I feel sorry for the defence. And keeper. Constant changes.

 

Maybe we should bring back Mark Hughes as away Manager.
Didn't he have a great away record but terrible at home?

 

I just don’t understand any of it. They looked like a side who had not played together……..oh hang on they haven’t. You keep the winning team and you make adjustments as and when necessary to integrate players.

It is not the first time he has done this either. Our away form is tragic to say the least. Wimbledon must have been dreading us arriving, but no we just gift them all three goals because the players are not sure where they are supposed to play.

What is extremely worrying is the players will be shot at confidence wise, and we could start loosing at home and suddenly the playoffs are a distant memory.

There is no point discussing individual players as their manager literally took a winning team and binned it for no reason I can see. The players are either fit or they are not. How many clubs rest their players?

I keep predicting us to win away games on the basis that we surely couldn't make the same mistakes again like last time. If we've put out a completely changed side surely it must have been tried out ad nauseum in training. Surely everyone must know his role and what he has to do. Surely the manager must have a very good reason for the changes he's made and be confident that the team will give a good account of themselves.
But no. It's just the same mistakes made over and over and over again.
Mystifying, inexplicable and incredibly deflating.

Why a lack of desire?
They should be champing at the bit to cement their place in this team
It’s more the fact of the number of changes and players who have come into the team from nowhere

 

The points he has in the bank are certainly not Zero from where he has taken us from to now is remarkable. But I hope he learns his lesson today and do the same thing again

 

Absolutely a bizarre thought but.........given some of the the bizarre team selections in some of the away games, does anybody think he's almost 'forfeiting' away games to concentrate on home games?

The number of and type of changes that he does just seems ridiculous at times but he'll hide behind the data to back them up.

As people have said changes to the back 3 with Kelly coming in, Sibley nowhere near the squad....

 

Not all GA'S fault. They were 30 mins late to the ground. I know in my building business if i was half hour late the roof often fell in or the walls fell down so i know where he's coming from. Bless. ( don't worry, i've retired now so most of SW France is safe )
