York slotted straight in to the Super league by beating reigning league and cup holders Hull KR so the gap might not be as big as people think.

York got tonked by Leeds tonight and hull kr beat brisbane last night

I think hull kr had one eye on Brisbane... the gaps pretty big still

My father in law played for HKR.

At colt level, but he lived and breathed that club.

Took him to The Sun pub in Wakefield when Brian Lockwood had it, he was delighted to meet him.

Admittedly to the top sides when at full strength but 12 months ago nobody would have predicted that the Bulls would put 28 points on Catalans even if they are a notoriously poor side on their travels.

For sure , cracking from the bulls last night and pushed FC all the way last week and put 20 points on them

I was expecting a salford type results from the newly promoted teams

The top 4 wigan hull kr Leeds Warrington and possibly saints are in there own mini league with the rest fighting it out below

Bradford have a really light pack and are probably a couple of injuries away from the bottom 2 in league positions

But they only had a few weeks to get a squad together

The best thing for me was the 10k crowd with hardly any catalan fans on a shitty cold february night, when they play Leeds, wigan there could be 14k plus in summer... who would have predicted that

I seriously thought around 5k would be there yesterday so hats off to them, probably a few freebies handed out but its what you need to do to get them back

Biggest negative was when they played wooley bully after the first try... ffs this is a new era leave that shit in the past

I used to live a couple of streets down from the Craven Heifer and during their heyday all the streets round by me were packed.

The pre match stuff was as important as the actual match and they definitely made it a 3 or 4 hour experience not just the 80 minutes of play.

I’m no big bulls fan but I hope they can get a few results and give the fans something to get behind.

I went last night and had a great time! Not only the rugby but the overall night out/experience was decent. Although those entrance gates need to be widened, I almost broke my back trying to scrape through it
