Still see Lincoln winning 3-4 of them, they are in incredible form. Hopefully Cardiff beat them but the other 5 games they look good on paper even at home to Stockport and away at Town.

Have you seen Boltons last 7 fixtures? Horrendous!

I don't see us catching Lincoln unless they stall badly. Possible but I'm more hopeful than anything. In reality they are 11 points ahead with GD. The next 4 weeks will tell us more but we have to improve away and hope the 3 of Huddersfield, Stockport and Cardiff, they bugger them up

You would fancy us to finish above them

Eventually sides at the bottom will need to win. They can't draw their way to safety

They then make themselves more vulnerable to conceding goals. It is when the maths look harder and harder, they become more desperate.
At present, apart from Port Vale, the pack in the bottom six, could get close to 50 points on draws alone.
Do they ‘shut the store’ against the teams with a chance of making the play offs and try for victories against the other teams that are struggling?
There is also the argument that when a team is relegated, the pressure is off and sometimes they can pull off a shock.
Valley Parade is a very difficult place to get a win, Burton being the only obvious contradiction, so teams at the bottom are unlikely to try an open and attacking game.

Pressure does funny things to football teams, just look at Arsenal last night

It was funny seeing them concede at the end and some of them losing their heads at the final whistle, especially after the time wasting.

Good, I find Arteta very unlikeable.

I've still not totally lost hope of reeling in Lincoln. I know they are in brilliant form so looks very unlikely but I just feel surely they will hit a bump at some point. Win our game in hand and the deficit is reduced from 10 to 7 and then on 7/3 they are away to Cardiff whilst we have Orient at home (granted prior to that we have a tricky trip to Reading whilst they have Blackpool at home!). But I just feel like if that gap could go down to say 4 it starts looking possible.

Their March fixtures look quite tough actually - Stockport at home, town away, Donny away (who will be looking to assure safety) so next month is gonna be key. If we could get to final couple of games still in with a shout it would be brilliant!

We aren't catching Lincoln. They’re in great form, kept the core of their squad in January and are beating teams comfortably. cardiff may play the more attractive football and have technically better players, but Lincoln are winning games without even getting into second gear

it’l take a late season implosion, thats worse than Walsall’s for us to catch up, bare in mind we still need to travel to Reading and Wycombe who have finally gotten their act together this season and are now pushing for that last play off spot

What the focus should be on now is consolidating our play off spot which is more than doable

    There are no easy games
Fleetwood last year showed us that teams will fight tooth and nail
But whilst that second place is still mathematically possible, then we have to fight for it
Lincoln are playing well, but you never know
Chasing second will guarantee the playoffs and hopefully a home game second leg in front of a packed VP
What an achievement that would be for a team newly promoted and facing clubs with far greater financial resources

Said the same to my brother ,Lincoln aint just sneaking wins they are beating sides up.
They fook up on Saturday and we win it may change but cannot see anyone stopping them and wouldnt be shock if the top 2 where up with 4 games to go.

True but a game against a fellow bottom team is a 6 pointer. Lose that and it's a six point swing. I suppose there's so many different mental permutations that in the end you'd prefer middle table games or playing against a worst as the table shows that they've not being very good at parking the bus thus far in the season

I don’t want a home 2nd leg as I feel our away form might mean we are already effective out of the tie and the home game will be a dead rubber.
Home first all day long and make sure we take a decent lead.

A home leg against a team that will surely "park the bus" and therefore not allow us to play to our strength?
Tis indeed a quandary. We ain't got there yet though.

I think we're stronger as a squad to change formation/system post the January window, certainly up top.
