I would prefer him to Pennington for his greater mobility ability to quickly play it out of defence, it adds a more dynamism to our play when linking defence to attack. Pennington not the worst replacement to bring in though

 

Not me. I can very rarely predict a City defeat even if I suspect they will lose. But, I appreciate your sacrifice in the prediction league. Long may it continue.

Assuming I've got the team news right - doesnt seem to be any in the preview. Anyone know where Sibley is?

 

He was injured but has been back in full training for about a week now I think. It will either be Lapslie or him taking a place on the bench tonight and I think after GA's comments about Lapslie after Saturday 's game, he'll probably get the nod.

 

I suspect he won't given the game against Peterborough but I think we should move to two up top with Sarc in behind on the basis of the first game where they completely battered us first half set up as we are but couldn't handle us 2nd half when we changed it

 

Every match.. i have outrageous predictions.. and thankfully theres only one that "almost" came true.. when i backed Mansfield to win 7-0... we were 4-0 at half time.. lost 5-1.

 

Let's hope referee Ross Joyce's eyesight has improved since he was in Mansfield.

 

I'm more worried Baldwin didnt quite get his point over at half time in the Doncaster game last season, and he may go back for seconds .

 

I want to see the proof in the post-match words from GA after the Boro win that the players want to keep this intensity on show. Equally, I stick by my opinion that although we were very good on Saturday, Boro put in one of the worst performances I can remember from a team at VP and they played right into our hands.

Absolutely no chance that Challinor and co do the same tonight, so it will be interesting to see if we can perform like on Saturday against a team that won't roll over for us. I expect we will claim a narrow win and take further confidence into the "easy" fixtures we have left between now and the end of the season!

 

Re Power missing I think Metcalf is sound on direct free kicks and Wright or Pointon can put a decent corner across although prefer Pointon to be on receiving end ...

 

I think Touray will be doing all he can to play in this one
Might even have come of just after half time on Saturday to make sure he is fit.

I'd probably play J Wright in the middle tonight to hopefully help combat the aerial threat of Wooton. He's strangely been bullied against some smaller forwards but when playing taller, more physical strikers he's seemed to fare much better.

 

Must have sold a lot of one off tickets. Thing is, a lot cannot make night games but will be counted in as they have a fully paid up season ticket. The total in attendance will be a lot less (as we know).

 

Power is going to be a big miss in open play tonight. But it will be a change to see some different set pieces

 

The more I hear this guy the more I believe he could become our best ever manager.
I can't remember him saying last season or this consolidation was our aim, he says he and Chris knew what needed doing and over his time at the club we look to be achieving it with our steady progression.
A big test tonight but then again so was Saturday against one of the form sides of the division so Mr Challinor you'd better come with your "A" game or you'll be going back home as many teams have done during the past 14 or so with "nul points".

I'm not too sure, I believe Evans is an ideal replacement who should drop straight into the role, my only concern would be can he do 90+ minutes if required, time will tell.

 

Played 90 mins for Blackpool in his final game just over 2 weeks ago. So shouldnt be an issue
