The point people miss Jordan …… Teams that play like Pep get pressed to death by this side. Teams that don’t get pressed by pass our middle . It’s not us stopping the press it the smart opponent that foils it by playing longer.

Today case in point to a tee.

It's strange that we are only on page 9 of this thread after one of the best 90 mins performances of the season.
A defeat and we would be up to page 20 by now with all the usual doom merchants (we all know who I mean) with repeat posts about how shit we are.
A tremendous all round display today well done lads.

 

Really enjoyed that game today, a much improved performance from the lads.

Peterborough were unbelievably bad and never seemed to learn that our press was killing them. That said, there wasn't a duff performance from the starting 11.

Metcalfe absolutely ran the show, he gets better and better. Pure class today.

Liked Jackson's pace and Bobby and Sarce were really sharp.

Defence had little to do but were solid and Tilt must have got a nose bleed with those forays into the final third.

Good day at the office and we're above Town again with 2 in hand.

 

What a wonderful afternoon of entertainment that was.

Every player was magnificent. Special mention to Jensen Metcalfe, my man of the match for sure, he was outstanding. One of the best individual performances I have seen from a City central midfielder for a very long time.

Good to see Pointon back to his best.

The passing today from our players was on a different level to what we have seen, take a bow Baldwin, magnificent pinpoint range of passing.

I hope the players have enough in the tank to give Stockport a good game on Tuesday, who will be fresh, as not played today.

 

And again we hit the woodwork second half, not sure where BBC get their stats : hit woodwork Bradford City 1 Peterborough 0 .

 

Yeah, Peterborough were right royally f*ck*d by City today.

 

Well that was like the dogs home game all over again - Terrific. How we only score two I’ll never know. Bang on it and pressed the press very well. How come we’ve been so poor lately. I know Sarc is badly missed he’s so good, but Bobby and T Wright very good also helps the way we play. Power and Touray (if he’s injured) could be a big miss on Tuesday.

How do you begin to describe that? Arguably the most clueless I've ever seen an away side at Valley Parade but you can only beat what's in front of you. Very entertaining but in truth we never got out of second gear, such as how bad Peterborough were. To serve that shite up in front of what was a decent away following is unforgivable.

 

I'd be worried as a fan that a manager steadfastly refused to change anything despite them continually commit football suicide at the back.

 

Mmmm.... a bit like us at Huddersfield and Lincoln then?

will be sad to see Metcalfe go in the summer, he was a class above today. My personal MOTM

only downsides is that we shouldve increased our goal difference today, the injury to Touray and the suspension to Power. Tuesday will be a very difficult game but hopefully we can take this performance into the next game

 

But if you listen to Alexander he is pretty much the same...it's all about what we do, NOT the opposition. Last season at home to Notts Co was a prime example when McGoldrick ran the whole game and we didn't change our approach to get near him once!! Then he scored that spectacular winner....

But if Williams had watched the games where we weren't at our best then he should have taken a different approach....

 

Yes, a fair assessment. When you've got Curtis Tilt with enough time on the ball to look like prime Maldini is suggest the opposition hasn't done their homework. It was like they've never studied us or had us watched. Not complaining as such as it led to a glut of scoring opportunities but jeez they were utterly dire.

 

BDSM levels of domination that game, 90 minutes of attack against defence. Some great performances and Metcalfe was a man mountain and should have been MOM. Special shout out to Wright though who seems like a new man these last couple of weeks, he’s finally being positive and we are seeing what he can do. Jackson I feel helped Bobby and Sarce, his pace in behind gave them a lot more room than recently.
