But that really only works if the opposition play out from the back, as most teams were doing against us, early season. They’ve nearly all stopped doing it now. The only team that’s tried it recently was Orient in the first half and we were all over them and should have been three ahead by HT. Once they stopped doing it we lost control of the game.
We have to develop a Plan B.

 

It's also difficult to execute. How do perfect all 3 systems, when we've struggled at times to carry out plan A? We may well get ripped to shreds.

 

It literally takes months of training sessions just to set the base level for how a manager would like to set up the team. Having 3 different sets of this, ready to go at any time just isn't possible, not even at the top levels.
